  1. I was thinking I might go see Dave at D Tech at some point, but he's a busy guy and I doubt he wants to muck around with some time waster haha. Whens good for you for me to swing past? Just good to get a second opinion.
  2. Yeah I'm rapidly beginning to come to the conclusion that the stepping box is rooted. Might just revert it back to stock setup as not boxes are not cheap are they, plus I'm also beginning to think it's more hassle that it's worth, which will eventually be a rooted engine if it did work right? Would be nice to have had the "scramble" function though lol
  3. I shoot down Concord Ave every day after work, that's just past Links Ave aye? Haven't been up in the Mount for long.
  4. when I first did the learning sequence it dispalyed correct boost at idle, then when I blip accelerator it shot up to 3.0bar and stayed there. When the box is on or off it doesn't change the boost. Always get 0.7bar. Just guts me aye.
  5. Hey thanks EJ20T that'd be great aye cos it's got me stumped and I'm just over it aye, just want it running right. Using so much petrol having to accelarate harder than usual cos it's so lathargic. Plus all the old women in their Ford Fiesta's smoke me out of the lights down Hewletts road every morning on my way to work aye hahaha
  6. oh ok, didn't know that. So how do I pull the map sensor out of the box and check it? Have you got the green rex in the Mount?
  7. na it came in from Japan already installed. So naturally assumed it was working properly. It's not the MAP. I was wondering if it were the "stepping box" but it seems to be making all the right ticking sounds.
  8. Hi there guys, I new to all this, but I'm having major problems with my profec A boost unit in my 97 GTB Legacy. I have followed instructions to the letter and still no joy. It is plumbed up correctly, and I did all the learning properly. It does the learning sequence, but at idle it reads 3bar, it should read as an active boost gauge that matches the analouge gauge. The car as it is now is running default wastegate boost, 0.7bar, these cars should run roughly 1bar at factory setting, it is so lathagic to drive and feels like everything is an effort. It's got me well and truely stumped and any advice or help that any of you may have or issues you've had in the past and fixed would be much appreciated! Cheers guys.
  9. I definitely have a boost-regulation hose connected to a wrong place, or an open spot in that same circuit. Which is why I am running on wastegate-boost now. (0.6bar) I think the 3.0bar the Greddy is reading, is a safety thing, cause it is missing enginelife protecting boostinfo.
  10. After a further inspection today, I have found that both line 23 & 10, are plugged, line 10 on the engine side, line 23 on the fender wing side, there are 4 vaccum hoses that are connected to the back of the PROFEC control box, 1 line seems to come over from secondary turbo side, other 2 lines come from 1) manifold and 2) the primary turbo solenoid (I think) there is clearly a vaccum line missing front the front of the PROFEC box as there is a thing stick out for a hose to attach to. I've tried attaching the #23 hose that was plugged to this, but made no difference. The PROFEC digital readout says I'm constantly running at 3bar of boost, even at idle, so it is clear that something is set up wrong, my boost gauge measures in kg/cm2, which is reading 0.6kg/cm2, which to my calculations is well under the factory standard boost when converted to PSI. I'm fresh out of ideas, does anyone have perhaps a wiring diagram of how to connect the vaccum hoses to the PROFEC control box properly?
  11. PROFEC A, the small silver box that sits under the bonnet, has 3 lines going in 1 side and supposed to have 1 line coming out the other. I've done the learning sequence, but keep getting a digital read out of 3bar, which I'm not running, so I've put this down to that it's not plumbed up right. My boost gauge inside the car is measuered in kg/cm2 and that is reading 0.6, so roughly converted that is well under 1 bar of boost right? Bloody confusing. Which means that I'm not even running standard boost, so something must be wrong. Any help is much appreciated. I could take to to a performance shop, but I'd rather try and solve the issue myself than having some guy mess around with it for a day, I was quoted roughly $1000+ which is prohibative.
