    • Sure thing! If you're looking for a quality cambelt kit that includes a water pump, I'd recommend checking out reputable automotive parts suppliers like Repco, Supercheap Auto, or a Subaru specialist if you want something more tailored for your BP5. Online, sites like Partsouq or RockAuto can be good options for genuine or aftermarket kits at reasonable prices. Make sure to double-check compatibility with your engine model, and it’s always worth investing in a trusted brand like Gates or AISIN for reliability. Good luck with the replacement—sounds like a great project!
    • The TT guys I know pretty much all reflash with internet ROMs until they find one that works.   I know a TT running a G4x and still TT.
    • Like nominally yes, but if a TT Leggy has made it to 2026 without letting go then it's probably fine.   I don't think a single human has ever put a Link in a Legacy and kept it twin turbo, ha.
    • It’s pretty much mostly the twin turbo legacy’s that don’t like regular fuel that everyone has to flash or they knock. The Impreza seems fine without 100 octane fuel.   But the G4x can run the twin turbo if you want tho spend that much. It’s a big jump from $50 for chip you can edit to $2000 for a link.   I havent looked into the brands so it maybe a Subaru only problem. The same generation Mitsubishi cars with same controller use the common 27c series as rom. I still have a few in a box from when I wrote launch control and flat foot shifting routines for them.
    • While it's novel, there would be very very few 90s Subarus still on the road that didn't either have zero need for reflashing, or already having an aftermarket ECU, given the excellent availability and affordability of things like Links.
