if im currently using say nulon 10w30 oil in my car and i have some fuchs titan 10w30. would it be ok to use the different brand oil to top up even thought im currently using nulon while staying on the same viscosity? or do i need to use the same brand.

hi, my car is a v4 sti type r and it currently has a vf24 turbo. im looking to spend maybe around 2000 on upgrading the car to make a bit more power. would like to get some feedback or suggestions on what to do. 2 things i want to ask. First: i reed from a few fourms saying that the vf24 turbo has a max power output of around 325hp. is there anything reason why i can't just raise the boost to increase the power? what would i need to modify or improve to reach say the 320hp mark? only related mods i have atm is a 3" catback exhaust and a dual stage boost controller. Second: also can can any1 tell me what other vf turbos can be directly bolted on (vf34 perhaps)? I haven been on trademe looking at a t3t4 and tdo5 turbo, just wondering what do you guys think of those turbos. would it be a good option?

my right indicator seems to be ticking a lot faster then the left 1. does any1 know why this is happens? it's like the thing is spastic!

so it seems this item is probably not worth it then? it looks like it can make an oil change quicker and easier but it is too expensive.

from experiences, i would suggest you are better off paying a bit more for 1 in good condition rather then trying to find 1 thats is as cheap as possible. i would recommend u getting a gtb with low milage, and try to look for 1 that has full/some service history and little or no modification, these usually keep you away from common car troubles.. as for a runabout, u might find they are quite costly at gas. overall they are quite reliable and very practical cars. the only downside i found with mine is that it does use a bit of gas. u just have to learn to not floor it too much and u shud be fine.

lol i reed a review on google maps about their shop. someone said they were very bad... my rotors needs skimming and i want to use my mta vouchers to do this. does any1 know if armstong is mta approved or could i use those vouchers there?

can someone tell me who can do this job and how much will be looking to get this done? i got a vf28 and it's done high ks. looking to freshen it up before using in car.

not sure where to start with this but i have a few questions would like to know... is it to do with the ecu or the pipe setups. also has anyone got this done before? what are the goods and bads from sequential to parallel set up. also how much will it cost to get this done roughly? worth it?

i looked at the receipt, the engine work was done at caraid 66. http://www.caraid.co.nz/ . judging from their photos, they seem to knows bit about engine builds. i think i might go see if the ticking happens again. if not go to vtnz, maybe i should go check out crowesport or rdl and see what they say>

yes im i chch. im gona test drive the car maybe tomorrow or day after. i was thinking if i can still hear the ticking sound, i would take it to vtnz and get a mechanical inspection report. i will also give tony a call tomorrow and see what he says

im not sure if its the same sound, all i know is it is a form of ticking sound. i only started hearing the tick after the test drive. he said its because forged engine. im gonna go test drive the car tomorrow or the day after and will listen to it again and see if it happens again. if worst comes, i will probably go get a pre purchast inspection done. but i just wanted to see if any1 knows what could cause a ticking sound from engine once its warm. just hoping its not the tick of death i read on forums.

posting this time in the engine section... can any1 tell me if a ticking sound is normal from a subaru just after it's had a forged internals engine rebuild 5000ks ago? after we took it for a test drive, we could hear a ticking sound from then engine inside the car. the guy said it's because the engine has forged pistons etc.. is this true right? really like the car but dont wanna buy one that has engine problems. any help would be good.

i know about the piston slap, my b4 has that when cold start. but it's more like a ticking sound you can hear from the cabin not so much a knocking. after the test drive which he was boosting around town for a bit. got back to his house and parked up, the car then start making a ticking sound. so is this lifters tick a bad thing or nothing to worry about? i mean the engine has had a full rebuild only about 5000ks ago.. jsut wana make sure im not buying a car which has engine problems.

hi im looking to get a v5 sti ra. i have found 2 things im not too sure with it tho so far. 1st: the engine seems to be making a ticking sound after he took me for a test drive, he does however have receipts for an engine rebuild with forged internals which was done around 5000ks ago around $5g of receipts. is this normal on a forged engine to tick? also the other problem was the dccd, it seems to be stuck on 80/20 atm.for some reason its not working. the green light on the dash is not working and suggest it is a electrical fault? is this a realistic excuse? would you guys suggest i get this car on trademe? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=486292220
