  1. I got it from a plumbing/engineering place, somewhere that deals with high pressure hoses etc, can't remember the exact name. And it was an electrical gauge
  2. What Scooby said.. Personally i don't see why NOT to have one, doesn't hurt the car, so may as well
  3. I'll take the version 10 still thanks.. Surely it's offensive to post this topic without pics?
  4. Could buy it, put stickers on the boot, door trims, and by the gear lever. Should pull low 10's after that
  5. Yeah, just seems a strange place to bother putting the sticker if you were going to since no one can see it. Just thought i'd check in case there was a model i wasn't aware of..
  6. Bit of a question for those in the know, there's a Blitzen for sale on TradeMe, seems in good nick etc, being advertised as having an "STI tuned engine" along with an STI exhaust. As far as i was aware, the Blitzens were pretty much cosmetic "upgrades". Has someone just painted the cover silver and stuck an STI sticker on it? Uploaded with ImageShack.us Or was there an STI version of sorts?
  7. What's he tinkered with too much? Mods don't look too shabby really. You should offer what he bought it off you for haha! I would if i hadn't spent all my money overseas! The mods aren't too bad, but i just quite liked the fact that it was a pretty much untouched example
  8. Damn i miss that car! For sale again... he's fiddled with it too much though and upped the price by $8g!! I preferred the whale tail to the black spoiler he's put on http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=276686036
  9. almost looks like my ECG sheet from memory , anyone know if you can ask for copy's of them? Can't see why not, all it would take is a photocopy. Depending where you had it done they should have a copy in your file
  10. Is there anything similar to what you have in your sig on the website? Because to be pedantic, that ECG tracing is screwed... alternating bifid t-waves vs none... should look more like this: See how before and after the big spike there are similar humps, rather than in yours the one after the spike is screwy.. Just being picky. Feel free to keep it the same if it's for visual effect, just so long as you know that even though DOBC "lives", it's got something wrong with it's heart
  11. Flaw = steering wheel with light gray insert. Minor concern but has put me off in the past! Minimal difference in styling between V8 and V9, but 9 has decent performance improvements, so i'd pick that. Biased towards the V10 but that's my all time favourite, particularly the improved interior, and i like the new front grill set up. V7 i've considered, but still in general not a fan. Seems V7 is a bit like marmite... you love it or you hate it
  12. Yeah, you sold yours too quickly for me.. shoulda held onto it for another 5months Is the intercooler piping on the one in Featherston dodgy? Didn't look too bad to me.. but i've never had a car with a front mount, so not looked at the piping up close before. No one in that area to have a look? Don't know if we have many Wairarapa members, think Durty Sanchez was from around there, but haven't seen him on the forum in years
  13. My girlfriend is looking at buying a Legacy station wagon, looks like the budget only really stretches to the BG's at this stage. Found a couple that could be alright, but they're out of town, so wondering if anyone is near either of them and keen to look them over for me? First is this in Featherston: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=276827103 Or this in Dunedin: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=277602951 Otherwise if anyone knows of a good turbo legacy wagon for sale for around $4-7000, post it up
  14. Jase are those DTM Pentas? Put them on my BMW, very nice.. although yours was an inch bigger than mine
  15. Roof scoop looks good IMO As for the original, i'd also consider it if i had spare change, but then you get into the dilemma of what else you can buy for the same coin. Would be good if you could fit surfboards or bikes inside..
  16. Speaking from experience those Work Emotion CR Kai's looks awesome on a white subie.. man i miss my car
  17. Definitely is, and i thought felt like new inside despite the km's! Congrats on the great buy, first thing to do IMO would be getting rid of those random brand tyres they had on it!
  18. V10 was 5.0 Black mans willy is 0-hard in 7.2
  19. Where did you get that from? Hamilton? If so i test drove that and almost bought it as well. Was in mint condition, and although it had been 4 months since i drove my 05 Impreza STI, felt every bit as fast as that. Unfortunately i lowered my budget by almost 10g the following day and bought something else.. Good looking fridge though
  20. Yeah Jap import, came over last year with 30,000km, one NZ owner. Certified kms. No service history, but interior and exterior are mint. Hardly any marks anywhere, just a few very minor scrapes (about 1-2cm long) on a couple of the corners. Paints nice and smooth. Full leather interior, carpets are like new, boot looks like it's never been used. 5-speed auto, and yeah it can go if you want it to, just doesn't compare to an STI of course. But then rear wheel drive with traction control off is fun 8)
  21. Bummer, too late now. Rang two guys but they'd both stopped doing it. Oh well And it's a gay auto, that's the worst thing about it, but the pros still outweighed the cons. Tiptronic but takes half an hour to respond to gear changes. Overall happy with it despite that
  22. No luck trying to find someone to roll the guards, it was all getting too hard just for the sake of wider rims on the back. So have the narrow ones on front and rear now, the bigger lip on the wider rims looked nice on the back, but i guess now i'll be able to rotate the tyres etc.. Anyway, finally after much unnecessary anticipation: Originally: With new mags finally: 1998 BMW 328i 50,000km Fully optioned (sunroof, electric heated seats, 3 memory positions for seats, 10 speaker stereo, sat nav, TV that works!, full leather, trip computer etc etc) All for $15k, thought that was pretty good. Like i said, couldn't afford to get what i really wanted, so got something much cheaper that's still in mint condition and nice to drive until i get more funds again
  23. Gutted! Had the new wheels on for about half an hour this arvo, looked mint but the rears were too wide and rubbed on the guards. Had staggered 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. Back to standard again now, will be in tomorrow to get 8.5 on rear as well. Looked nice with fatties on the back, but no go
  24. Oh right sorry, i read wrong. I'm not clever enough to remember what needs doing at 100,000km but also would have thought it'd be more than $100. Especially if you include labour. Don't you need to replace tensioners, pumps etc.. Someone will know
  25. Definitely a looker.. definitely not worth 25k with that mileage
