  1. http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?ID=3482 This link has some good info and diagrams to help you get the vac lines in the right places. When i got my coupe it had a boost tap fitted , put it back to factory control and it went way better.
  2. Your luck the HU is still OK , I did the same thing once and fried the whole thing.
  3. Didnt get the CEL code as it was 1am and just reset to get going. traced one end of the wire tonight and it was connected to the reverse lights positive wire...
  4. Pivot speed meter is the easiest IMO plus it has some cool extra functions.
  5. OK - Long story but hope it makes sence. Was doing some work on my coupe yesterday and decided to pull the cover off my ECU for a look , glad I did because I found the person to do so previously had jammed a wire under the cover causing it to burn up thru the loom and melt all the insulation for about half a metre. Managed to fix that one and then found a green wire under the passengers carpet that had been cut ( it ran towards the rear of the car) so I decided to rejoin it. Car went good for a few hours but was giving masive backfires on deceleration and nearly stalling when stopping at lights. later on when I hit the motorway and gave it some gas in 3rd it gave a large bang and stalled and CEL. Limped it home and found it was hitting this harsh cut at about 0.7bar. When I got home I cut the wire I had previously joined and reset the ECU. And it has gone mint since. My question is, does anyone know what this wire might be??

  8. Sorry if this is a repost , found these pics from this years TAS. Syms Racing GRB Syms is a specialist Subaru tuner and this GRB Impreza was built to show case their comprehensive range of parts including the body kit and others such as their exhaust systems and custom suspension. This GRB also wears Oz Racing Ultra Leggara wheels, a refreshing change from the vast majority of Rays, Advan and Works. http://image.nengun.com/gallery/primary/Tokyo%20Auto%20Salon%202010/Evos%20and%20Imprezas/JUN%20Auto%20Subaru%20Impreza%20STI%20GRB%20Street%20Spec.jpg' alt='JUN%20Auto%20Subaru%20Impreza%20STI%20GRB%20Street%20Spec.jpg'> Show Up Car Service Hiro Chopped WRX STI The Show Up Car Service Hiro Impreza has been around for a while, but the chopped roof always makes it stand out. The car is not just for show either, a TD06-25G and fully built engine generate 500 horsepower and Car Service Hiro have developed an original titanium exhaust, body kit and setup the Koni suspension running on Professor SP1 wheels. At the Rev Speed Tsukuba time attack in 2009 they were able to achieve a minute flat lap time, with future development under 1 minute should be achievable. Prodrive Japan GRB The Prodrive GRB Impreza has been built for street use, wears Prodrive GC-05K wheels on a Prodrive suspension kit and brake calliper kit. The aero is from Varis with a Prodrive exhaust system. HKS Kansai Impreza WRX STI GRB HKS Kansai brought an example of almost every top tuner car and the GRB Impreza was no exception. Running a HKS GT2835 turbo, the Impreza develops 400 horsepower and is running on another set of the new Advan Racing RG-D wheels. HKS Kansai parts include a tuned Hipermax III suspension kit, and carbon aero parts developed with Seibon. [fixed ]
  9. Check out my subaru - funny/wierd video , probably a repost but still funny.
  10. Nelson will have BP ultimate , Greymouth will be your last stop for 98 on the west coast untill queenstown. Dunedin is last stop south on east coast for 98 , otherwise most places north of dunedin on the east have 98. Hope that helps
  11. looks like a temp sensor , possible ambient temp display?
  12. You should be fine just replacing the rear section , will give you the subby rumble without upsetting turbos ect. BBOD is the box just in front of the drivers side front strut tower that has all the vacume lines running to it. It contains all the valves ect. that control the twin turbo system , lots of stuff to fail , hence Black box of doom. As for the seized actuator , im sure others will know more about these.
  13. Yeah AFAIK JUN kits are cosworth components , bar the cranks i think
  14. Think I might have found my next subaru :-* Subaru Sambar , 660cc of pure FHI grunt
  15. Great link thanks. that lexus is porn , pity about the price.
  16. Well I felt violated at the price I had to pay for 98 in Greymouth ( atleast they had it ) filled up in CHCH cost 182.9 then had to top up in greymouth and payed 210.9 , almost 30c difference.
  17. I think they have been carefull in NZPC not to show any direct side shots as thats where it shows up.
  18. Duno about anyone else but it kinda bugs me that they refer on several ocasions to the fact that he has spent so much effort creating an EXACT replica when it is a 4 door welded up. Full credit to the guy its an awesome car which im sure a hell of a lot of effort went into but it definatly isnt an EXACT replice.
  19. Sorry if this is a repost ( I did search ) Was searching for some info on history of STi models and came across a review for this book. Its not quite all there but still some good reading. http://books.google.com/books?id=jntu4dc9984C&pg=PA68&sig=GJ9nd1JwU8l18gAUMd12dLC2ONA&hl=en#v=onepage&q=&f=false

  22. not really my sorta car but they definatly appeal to enthusiests and for that reason I would be keeping it original and just make it a minter.
  23. Was bought up watching rallying , Possum , Mcrae ect , old man had a legacy and cousin had a modded RS then a workmate at my afterschool job got a V5 coupe brand new in 1999 and iv wanted a coupe ever since. Had 3 subbies before my coupe tho. ;D
