only time I use one is for head studs really. agree with borg

ive had this happen. a friend put my turbo feed back on ... stripped it and didnt tell me. it pissed LOADS out very fast.
lucky for me it stripped the bolt so new one and I was good to go. was not happy with said friend tho
-
yea change the ecu back! if its the wrong ecu then you could be doing some harm to your engine .
you haven\'t messed with the speed cut by any chance?
-
V9sti and above changed hub pattern but Wrx stayed same
Anyway yes the front from a v8 will fit fine
Rears need top hat chNge
Also the break hose mounting is different one is clip and one uses bolt to hold

Assuming this would be the same scenario for v7 struts to v2 gc8?
I was reading some where that fitting latter model struts v7+ can stuff up the camber ect on a gc8 due to the v7+ having a wider track?
yup they fit. that can be adjusted out with camber bolts ect .... or even better change the lower arms ect
-
ive got a fair bit of stuff in from overseas and only had to pay duty one . maby just lucky
-
keep a eye out for any link . im with clint on this one sell them both and get a g4+
-
-
perhaps you could ... you asked the question
id rather a bc as a road car but thats just me
-
legacys run coil on plug dude. and I dont think that would be possable from a battery change and if id did reset chances are it would run better not worse.
-
so the oil cam out tof the downpipe its self? once you took it off it pored out.
just thinking could be the return line not on correctly or the flange isnt sealed/gasket rooted. would explain the smoke
-
later bh ones are the go. they bolt straight in .
the plugs need to be changed and the 3rd wire just needs to be earthed to the coil itself.
there should be some details somwhere on here about the conversion
-
Sweet thanks man will check it when i get back to the car. How could i tell if the coi is stuffed? Or are they pretty good?
the early coils like what you have arnt the best.
basically if you unplug a coil and it makes no difference it sould be either the coil or maby the plug. could be further back but more likely the coil

agreed

isnt v1/2 different to v3/4? and BG5a are the same as v1/2?
i really dont know old legacy stuff - just asking the dumb questions in case OP gets caught out//
nope v1 to v4 share the same inline pattern. bg5s are basically the same as v3/v4 but have smaller runners compared to the sti (I know bg5a ones are smaller)
-
yea no issues at all
-
I wouldnt put them back on . the reason funky asked was bg5b and ç run good heads from factory but revision a are rubbish really
-
there much better than factory heads.
bg5a ones have hydraulic lifters which can get noisy . also the cam profile in the v4 heads may match the tune a bit better depending on what ecu your running.
-
couldnt comment . I use there bearings but didnt know they do more .
-
-
mid 20s not tune or related to the rod bolts . the pos just shore in half lol
just a cheep copy of eagle
granted it wasnt a factory engine or setup but still concerning
-
I seen a scat rod come out a block
just my opinion but I would never even look at the brand ever.
-
wow that a fair distance out to! you would hear if something caused damage
no nasty noises?
-
ive pretty much convinced myself to get one
the mrs has even coming around to the idea now after having a shitbox car for so long

im by no means super but ya pick it up pretty quick . to strip somthing ya really would have to be leaning on it with the wrong tool.
dont smash a 8mm bolt with a half inch drive cz itll turn to shizzle
