  1. Hi, could be a number of issues causing this such as a fault/short with the ignition switch, sticking ignition immobiliser relay or a faulty after market turbo timer -if fitted. Best bet would be to have an AVS reseller or you local Auto Electrician check it over. https://avscarsecurity.com/installers/
  2. Hi everyone, looks like we had no notification set up for this thread, oops, fixed now. Yep, the contact at AVS is either Ben or Rachael. Ben has talked to Fabio so hopefully it's sorted (but let us know if not). Sounds like the alarm has been wired to the door light which is common practice for most cars however because of the proximity control with this vehicle it will need to be wired to each individual door switch circuit. That will prevent the symptom from happening even with the factory setting for the interior light.
  3. Hi everyone I just wanted to let you all know that I will be leaving AVS as of the 31st of October. Thank you for all your support over the years and AVS Car Security will still be supporting the club into the future. Ben will be your new point of contact and will be taking over the forum monitoring. If there is anything I can help you with before next Friday please let me know Regards, Brad

  6. Hi there. Is the siren working? (To test the siren just hit the panic button which is the right hand button on the torch remote or the horn icon on the waterproof remote. The siren should sound. Press it again to stop it.) If it's still working the chirps have just been accidentally programmed off. Give us a call on 0800 438 862 and we can talk you through programming the chirps back on. Or send me a PM and I'll give you the instructions - I just need to know if you have the torch or waterproof remote. Here's the link to the remotes page if you're not sure: http://www.avscarsecurity.com/remotes/
  7. Where abouts are you?? Flick me a PM and I will see what we can do Brad
  8. Hi DK Twice a day on a hot day is normal, but two times a week for it to false alarm is not good. You can back it off more if needed or move where the brain is mounted as it may be against something that has to much vibration coming through it. Do you know where it is installed?? Brad
  9. Hi DK Backing it off is the solution, that is why there is adjustment in the sensor as every car is different. It is set at 6/8 factory so the usual step is to back it off to 4/8 and see how it goes. Brad
  10. It is the pre warning for the dual stage shock sensor which picks up lighter impacts etc. What causes it to happen is parts of the car near the alarm expanding and contracting in the heat/cold and which causes small shock waves which the sensor will pick up when it is next to it. If it does once in a blue moon or even once a day I would leave it as is as it would be set as high as it can be for a security side and not false alarming etc. If it does it more often than two or three times a day and it annoys you then the sensor can be adjusted down a bit to make it a little less sensitive. Brad
  11. Give me a call on 09 476 8052 when your with your car and I can sort it for you Brad
