  1. u sure thatl work. its a twinturbo ecu? single turbo engine v3 sti complete except the turbo and i repinned loom to 3plug v3/4
  2. thanks man been a big help well hopefully my inlet manifold shows up this week....... been waiting ages and i can finally get my car going again. will do what you said and put some upper cylinder cleaner through it just to be safe was thinking of using moreys?
  3. im wondering ive already repinned my bg5a TT legacy loom to suit 3plug v3/4 was wondering if it would be easy to convert to the earlyer 4 plug wrx ecu. reason being is being able to get a chipped 4 plug ecu to get rid of speed cut raise rev limiter and boost cut. a much cheaper option than spending 2grand to install and get a link. i cant seem to find ecu chips to fit v3/4 ecu's and everyone says just get a possum or g4 link lol.
  4. yeah nah as u said before not worth the trouble lol. ;D
  5. i was thinking of doing awhile ago and thought nah fark that prob ad extra weight . but purely just becasue its a sun roof lol
  6. i wonder can u get a bg5 with a sun roof already and cut a hole in one without and install it? lol...
  7. nope but i managed to get it all out by sucking it out with a hose turned the crank by hand a few times not much water came out the exhust port got a heat gun from the oldman and dryed it out. cant see any visible rust but gave it a wee spray of crc and wiped it out
  8. thanks my friend also told me to do that and the water if there is any will dump strait into exhaust.
  9. also you will find it hard getting a wof i done a conversion on one of these and ended up having to swap everything including speedo cluster. used jdm 96 wrx non sti gearbox and had to change diff and had to buy a 2.2l outback wagon drive shaft.. as most are too short or didnt have the right knuckle to bolt on to the diff was able to get it on the cheap but was still a hard conversion. also had to do some re wiring for the ignition to get the key out and the back reverse light as the trans one was diffrent to manual gearbox.
  10. it only had in one port valves closed in that side as it was pooling only in that port. i managed to suck it out with a hose got the dryer onto it and dryed it all up cant see any rust in it... theres no oil in engine at all its been drained well i wouldnt of got water in it if my inlet manifold had turned up when it was supposed to be sent lol. still my fault though i know...
  11. damn it only got into the one port i tryed soaking it out but only got so far with that cheers for the advice
  12. lol its bolted onto gearbox and has no oil in it yet
  13. hi ive put my longblock into my wagon in last weekend and put a cloth over it incase any water got in and put the bonnet down. it rained alot the opther day and went out to check it and seen there was a pool of water where the intake/inlet manifold bolts onto the block. just wondering how bad this was and how to get the water out ???

  16. my setup never came with the right 02 sensors so i just ran it with out them.... LOL woops
  17. how important are the 02 sensors what if u dont have any ive been told its abit more heavier on the fuel consumption without them?
  18. ok thankyou yup ive heard to it refered to as a divorced downpipe got one sitting in garage was thinking of putting it on with my new build instead of using the FUGLY factory one.
  19. was just wondering looking at my dumppipe off the back of the turbo it has a seperate chamber (it splits into two) where the wastegate gases come out of turbo then bends back into the downpipe. anyone know what type this is or if its any good?
