  3. my uncle has what seems to look like a v3/4 sti motor yellow injectors orange airflow and running a vf23. he bought recently a J2 (ecu) from a V6 sti running also yellow injectors orange airflow and a vf23. he wants to transplant this setup into his GTB BG5a EJ20R wagon.

  5. is it possible to wire a 3plug v6 sti ECU (J2) to the EJ20R loom providing the engine matches the ECU mapping???
  6. does it not matter about the gearbox having double cone 3rd synchro added ??? it wont put more stress on the diff?? i wouldnt think so but just making sure . thanks for feedback guys.
  7. Im working with a an EJ20H 4 plug ecu BG5a i replaced the intake with a v3 intake/grey injectors/purple AFM/TDO4L and 3plug 2S ecu for a start i just want it running. I have yellow injectors and orange AFM just waiting to get more koin together to get matching turbo and ECU. I reused my TT loom and IAVC and TPS sensor plugs all matched and plugged up have got all the wires and pipes in engine bay all conected up in the correct places.Just need to sort the wiring for 3pin plug and repin the ECU which will be doing tomorrow so with any luck would like to be on the road tomorrow.
  8. yup i have printed off all the conversion and wiring pinouts. forgot to mention in good description off the complete job im doing sorry about that. and yup was just abit worried seeing as ive bought 3 AFMs and all have been 3pin plugs was just really confused lol. thankyou much appreciated.
  9. i am repining the 4 plug ecu to a 3 plug tomorrow have everything mechanically done just need to sort resplicing the AFM plug to run both purple and orange. i have the correct coloured AFM just not the right PIN.
  10. hi my uncle has just bought what looks like a v3/4 STI ej20 motor he was told it was a Possum Bourne limited edition motor it has yellow injectors and running what seems to look like a vf23 (hard to tell as its complete and bolted up) are there anyways to verify what it is ??? I have been told to take oil pan try off the bottom and look for a stamp mark inside it??? also been told you can take the heads off and look into it.... lol dont really want to crack it open. also motor came with gearbox attached have already looked at a tranny chart to see what kind of gearbox it is. numbers are TY752VBCAA has double cone 3rd synchro. also noticed the GT-B limited spec came out with the same numbers on the gearbox. And also what kind off diff would handle this gearbox.??? ratio is 4.444 vicious
  11. if i can resplice my 5pin plug to a 3pin plug il be able to run my current purple airflowmeter/tdo4l/2S(ECU) combination till i get 1S(ECU) and vf22 to run orange 3pin airflow and yellow injectors. thanks jimbob and 94 leone.
  12. hi im having trouble with my plug to the AFM ive bought a purple AFM for which i was told was what i have to use. i cannot find a reasonabably priced 5plug purple AFM and decided to go yellow injectors and orange AFM. have just got the orange AFM and its also a 3pin plug im pulling my hair out tryna figure a way to wire one of these damn AFM in. I currently have a Orange AFM a purple a green and a blue My uncle has a GTB BG5A legacy wagon same shape and loom etc. hes running yellows and orange AFM and i have noticed his is also 3pin plug..... need help and dont really want to spend more money on yet another AFM... can anyone please tell me if there is a way to splice it in (uncles GTB looks like its been spliced).
  13. hi guys currently im stuck on aplug that doesnt seem to exsist on my TT loom. its the plug that goes into a small square vaccum box under the intake by the IAVC. heres a picture for better clarification.
  14. well i opened up my purple airflow meter and are now confused LOL there are 3pins inside that under the copper shielding as compared to the green or blue airflow meter which is 4pins. In need of desperate help....
  15. hi just bought a purple airflow meter and it doesnt fit my loom plug is 3pin instead of 4 can i simply swap the plug from my old blue airflow meter with the purple one so the loom matches ???????????

  17. Have just got the last parts needed for conversion will have everything mechanically done today. not really looking forward to trying to wire up the ECU have already had an attempt at it hahaha. if anyone who has done this properly can help me at all would be really good
  18. hi thanks for that i will be eventually changing to bigger turbo just want it running for now have you got a contact number would be very intrested in those parts seeing as i already have yellow injectors.
  19. hi im currently doing the twin turbo to single turbo conversion on a 4 plug BG5a . i have all the parts from a 1992 legacy wagon and have pretty much bolted it all onto the TT block. I wasnt able to use the same intake and ended up with a ver1 rex intake i have noticed that the TPS different what ways around this??? change Throttle body?? or loom on intake?. i know it says on the coversion to use a 3plug ecu and yellows etc. but i have a 4 plug ECU from the 1992 legacy whch i have already started repinning. does anyone have a better copy of the ECU pinouts i can use???
