  1. Does anybody know what size fitment tyres/mags you can fit on a V7 Wagon without having to roll the guards/utilise excessive camber? At the moment i just have standard 17x7 prodrives with 215 tyres. But i want to look at going to either 17x8 or 18x8 if possible with 225 tyres.
  2. Keep an eye on http://www.subaruspeed.co.nz/ also. although maybe wont have much for V9 given its alot newer.... just a suggestion
  3. yeah ill be buying another car in 2 years. lol. and as i must repeat, im not looking for what people think looks best etc. im after some actual factual basis for picking one over the other if any exist. i.e. around quality, weight, experience with said mags etc.
  4. actually looking at the Rota RT5\'s. they were only released 2 months ago. sure the only difference is 1 less spoke than rota grids, buts its still a difference haha. and they are reasonably priced
  5. not really constructive criticism is it lads
  6. Hi guys. Looking at buying a new set of mags for my V7 STi. Can you please provide some constructive criticism about the following mags i.e. weight, manufacturer reliability etc... Rota Grid Wolf S36 Work XD9 (unlikely as bloody expensive)
  7. Can someone please advise whether these will fit on my V7 STi? I don\'t know anything about offset sizes or what they mean. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/auction-576328763.htm Thanks
  8. Forde Auto Services on Dee street has always seen me right. He does alot of work with AWD and 4x4s, real good guy too.
  9. yeah im around look for the plate BINKZ
  10. yeah i ended up going with Clubauto who is costing me like $200 a year more than CLIC did. Still better than NAC though, and insuredirect was a little cheaper but seemed like retards
  11. not going turkey, have been bought out by IAG and since IAG owns NAC also, they are closing CLIC also not going with State, rudest most incompetent people twice on the phone today. likely going to go with ClubAuto. thanks all for your input
  12. lol certainly wont be going with NAC - highest excess, highest price, rudest people
  13. wont insure me unless i have some other kind of insurance with them for some reason i.e. contents i have no claims, next to no ticket history etc for years and years.
  14. So as some of you may or may not know, CLIC car insurance is shutting up shop soon due to the IAG takeover of AMI/CLIC. I have hit up a number of insurance companies for quotes and just wondered if you guys had any other suggestions/ideas. NAC - approx $1250 a year ClubAuto - approx $1050 InsureDirect - approx $780 Anybody else i could potentially try, anybody got any stories re trying to make claims through the above etc? Looking like InsureDirect at this stage, although they do have a $100 windscreen excess that the others do not... Thanks all
  15. Window Tint South in Invers do a mean job. Unsure what the is in Dunedin though
  16. Would I have any issues with my car if i got the exhaust altered to accomodate this exhaust tip? I think the bent is slightly different to V7 STi exhausts? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=495557252

    Exhaust

Random noob question. My V7 STi has a standard downpipe, 3inch mid pipe, then a 2.5inch axle back to s!@# muffler. Will I have issues as a result of uneven pipe size in the middle of the setup? Ended up like this when it was imported as the axle back section was replaced (assuming for noise reasons) Thanks Aaron
  18. pics? twin scroll or single scroll? how loud?

damnit. will have to get the standard downpipe altered then coz not allowed a turbo back system at the moment due to mechanical warranty. shame it wont direct bolt on

    Exhaust

Is this twin scroll or single scroll? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=480835428 Also would the cat back section hook up to the standard downpipe on a V7 wrx? Any ideas? Tempted to by this
  21. yeh dont think its twin scroll http://www.cobbtuning.com/Subaru-SS-3-Turboback-Exhaust-p/512301.htm#Downpipe
  22. looks as though the left caliper is missing one of the large clips that would explain the noise i guess at the pads must be moving slightly. will have to try and track one down
  23. sounds alot like this video here except not nearly as frequent or even this... would going over pot holes cause the pad to move enough to click/clunk though?
