  1. hello all after an 8 year hiatus I'm back in q Subaru and am loving it. 

     

    my installing some new front door speakers in my wagon. Does any one have the audio wiring diagram? Car is non Macintosh and is a FL version. Just really needing to know what the factory positive and negative wires are (which colours)

  2. Are these diffs any good? Ive been reading up abit on them and they seem to be quite highly regarded. I happened to have one laying round home so I put it in my v4 STi wagon cos I rwd converted it. Never actually drove on it. Now the time has come and the car is getting stripped and the diff will be passed on. I'm just unsure what they are worth to sell? I've seen the advertised in the states and Australia for between 300-400 for just the diff. I will be selling mine complete with the hard to find asymmetrical axles as a complete setup.

    Is asking 400 for both diff and axles inflated pricing? I don't wana burn people but don't wana be burnt myself either.

  3. Na I never had any issues with it. Was fun at the time. They are a slut to wire in though need to use diodes so current doesn't bounce back to unit. The gain is backwards too so 1 is the highest and 9 is it is the lowest. Can't have catalytic converter though.

  4. Cheers fullas. If it is alternator I will be keen on yours hijacka, its just I off to rarotonga in 3 weeks so I wont get one till after I get back. What ya want for it? 2 pin yer? ok ross I will gie that a nudge, just cant turn heater on as I have taken blower fan out cos it was poked.

  5. Car wont boost under load...Doing my fcuking head in! Can this be due to a bad alternator? I charged battery took it for a drive, drives ok for like 5 min then as soon as you try and load the car up it dies/backfires/ and just wont run. nurse it home and switch it off, leave it for a bit and battery is flat. So is this issue due to bad alternator? Ready to scrap the dam thing I'm that over it.

  6. I'm having trouble removing the housing from my transfer case! There is a long shaft with ball berings at the top and gears down the bottom. It's like I have to remove that shafts before the housing can be freed. Also how do I remove the housing and all components. I'm having trouble with the disassembly. Can't find any decent write up with pics on the interweb.

  7. swapped out fuel pump for factory v4 sti type with clean sock, checked fpr for faults, fpr holds pressure mint with return blocked. Hooked return back up and still rapidly drops fuel pressure and dosesnt even reach 3kg when primed without engine running as it still wont start! Motor cranks, NO START!!! Am I missing something?
