  1. Cant really do, its smaller, cause factory 17's and these are 18's #mypoordiffs so atm its parked up feeling sad for itself still on the wheel as its holding pressure, with a new oil leak since flat nats..
  2. Exactly my thoughts, its just that 2 months, gunna need another set for the mean time.
  3. thats what i was thinking. Ive been quoted $400 for a new wheel, that 2 month wait time though.. hense my post looking for factory wheels (will turn into track wheels when its back)
  4. funny enough, I did this, however that doesn't give me peoples experience with the repair people now does it.
  5. Hey guys, So last night, there was a rock on the road that I didn't see in the dark, just clipped it with my left rear.. Stretched tires mean full lip hit. Somehow its still holding air, so I'm hopeful it can be repaired. anyone know of anyone that can? Pic = regards, Aaron
  6. Ok after my drive into work this morning im defiantly sure its a vac leak, does the whole revs drop hard below idle then come up. the air/fuel gauge i can watch it leaning out the mixture as i drive etc etc. Buuutt im going on holiday tomorrow so i cant look at it booo. ah well, guess ill do a smoke test when i get back and sort it out.
  7. Its been tuned by STM in petone, has been fine for about a year before this. I think i have a vac leak somewhere, maybe a split in a pipe that only shows it self when cruising that otherwise when its like -10 vac it sucks it closed, but motorway its opening the hole. i do seem to have the foot up it. i can hear a noise when crusing now to. its like chu chu chu, with the exhaust note, almost sounds like air boucing back and hitting the turbo
  8. Hmm, its find under boost though, i think i might have a vac leak? that sound possible? took off intercooleer last night zip tied all the lines i could find, tighted up bov, but still releases with about 5-6psi, so might tighten further, also thinking ill put some red silcon around the bov attachment to make sure its not leaking there
  9. I dont think so, both the manual gauge and the electronic controller read the same. i can hear the turbo so i think its reading correct, seems to have same max boost
  10. Yeah it feels ok other than that, power feels good, foot doesn't seem any harder, but it could be, would be such a small mount extra i would think.
  11. Yeah i did, that was just a the brake caliper - and was doing it before this [quote name='Optical said: Leaking fuel injector maybe. I had a lower injector seal blow out on the motorway and boost wouldnt go under 5psi the rest of the way homeYou'll have top feed injectors though so one would have to be stuck open by some debris... possible, would have to the most minute leak though wouldnt it?
  12. Nah, should add its got a vf30 not vf37. exhaust is pretty much straight through 3", one resonator, one flexi, one muffler (prodrive one)
  13. So you dont think so? mine sits just off boost normally, not talking about a huge difference. Though if shes cold it needed 2psi just to hold 100kph the other day
  14. Come to think of it, my front rotors are a bit warped (little shakky under braking) reckon that could do it?
  15. Yeah exactly, so there's more load on the motor. I'm trying to figure out why Unless i get the whole car off the ground, wont they be hard to turn anyway? Could there be anything wrong with the motor you reckon?
  16. nah was never that low, has an electronic boost controller in it, so wastegate is definitely closed. I haven't noticed heaps of brake dust on one wheel or anything like that. Hand brake still works and I've put a few thousand k's on it like this so I don't think its that.
  17. Hey guys, Got a weird one, started some time ago.. When doing 100-110kph she hovers around -1psi to 1psi boost. it used to sit around -8 to -6. Im sure this is the reason why shes worse on fuel. Ive changed spark plugs, cleaned the air filter and AFM. It is defiantly not just reading incorrect because I can hear the turbo spooling to. Any ideas anyone? or know of a way I can check for error codes? thanks
  18. Cheaper price for 2wd like last time? wouldnt mind seeing what the MX5 is putting down haha
