Put in sti fuel pump, chucked a bit of upper cylinder cleaner in and changed the dash cluster

Well i finally got around to pulling down an ej208 long block and today i got the crank and pistons out. Now they have HF1 on 2 of them and HF2 on the other 2 Are the forged or cast? there is some cross hatching on them Is the crank a rear thrust item? the motor was from a 1999 B4 legacy

I think it looks better than silver tape Also i pulled the 208 heads off and tomorrow hopefully crack the SB open to see wot the BEB looks like

So on our recent trip to nelson elle toyota got chip in the front screen which now has turn into a massive crack so its up for new 1. Any1 know of a good place apart form the usual people?

Any marks on the piston?

Have u looked on the net on how to time it and where the timing marks r?

You should able to hear it prime up if u can then start with basics like spark plugs etc

New intake gaskets, cross over pipe o-rings, icv gasket and mbl8 and on the weekend engine flush and new oil and filter

Platinum or iridium plugs
