  1. Agreed value for "classic" cover. I nominated the value for each of them and they ask for pictures. If they disagree they give you a counter offer maximum. They did this for one of my cars but it was the cheapest of them all by a considerable margin (ke30 toyota at 6k they did it for 4k because it's not painted yet and looks like a heap). I have "modern classic" cover on one car which is a metallic orange bmw z4, they do market value on this type of cover

  2. You'll get a fine and probably charged with dangerous driving which is a court appearance. The photo is evidence that someone was using your car dangerously and you have a legal responsibility for informing the court as to who was driving if you claim you weren't. if you refuse or lie, you will be convicted of failing to supply details, perverting the course of justice, purgery or contempt of court... which ever they see fit. Dangerous driving is not a criminal conviction where as the others are, and you will need to tell employers about it for 7 years.

Others have mentioned how demerits generally aren't involved in speed camera fines... that's because it's not possible to involve the court in every single speed camera ticket. As above, they can certainly prove who is driving as you're better off to confess

  3. i don\'t see how a gps even if it was calibrated and certified would be proof. it would be "my word against theirs" any way, which you will always lose against a police officer. unless it was permanently providing an un-tamper proof real time feed through to a police server. but i don\'t think any one who would want to try get off a ticket would want that sort of big-brother going on ;)

  4. i was a customer of gary for over 5 years so i definitely trust him that it will be safe, but seems a bit out there for me any way

i wouldn\'t imagine any gains before 5000rpm but it depends on how it\'s tuned and whether or not timing has been pulled to reduce det and if it was hitting high IDC early on, but i doubt it. look at 5200rpm and above, the rate of incline changes slightly around then, so that\'s my theory of where timing pull has occured, but could easly be something else (cams, boost control, etc).

  5. damn, what\'s the afr at the moment with 95? Fuel change alone would see that tune up to 240kw even without increasing the amount of it. I don\'t imagine it\'s particularly safe though. I\'d want bigger injectors running lower duty cycle to get 225kw on 95 or 240kw on 98. did gary himself tune it or some one else?

Had traffic written in front of cop .

You ever seen a cop admit they were wrong ? They are human after all . They will get respected for doing their job properly . Not because they think they are god

As in they say they abandon every single police chase in the media 1 minute before the crash . Like bother they\'d o

Traffic cops are cops like any other.

If they do lie I can fully understand why. Seeing as they get chastised for doing nothing less than I would expect - trying to catch bloody criminals. If pursuits rules get any more lax, more and more dickheads will give getting away a go. In fact, that\'s already happening.

I\'m yet to meet a cop who thinks they are god. Maybe your opinion is generated from spending too much time on the wrong side of the law..?

  7. There\'s always plenty to explain about any dyno plot.

My guess is poor boost control or ecu doing an average job. It looks mildly sluggish to build power as a result of the torque valley at 4300rpm. Either that or its a very good plot for a twin turbo legacy. I Imagine on the road the valley probably isn\'t too intrusive and the car stil feels nice to drive so don\'t take my comments too seriously

  8. i\'m not sure what you mean. do you mean like driving fast and cornering hard and such? it\'s not a fast car by any means, but I can have fun with it on some twisty roads, BMW do know how to make a good chassis (just let themselves down the plastic components galore!). i have new monroe GT shocks and lowered springs with reasonable tyres, it handles really nice.

  9. oil leak, water loss, incorrect reading from sensors causing warnings lights on dash, and overheating

    Replaced:

    -water pump

    -coolant reservoir

    -thermostat

    -drive belt

    -oil level sensor

    - pcv valve

    -trans cooler thermostat

-oil filter housing gasket and drain plug (mission!!)

    -oil filter

    -spark plugs

    -air filter

Do NOT buy a BMW. The build quality is terrible. The newest ones are even worse according to the dealer

  10. I believe Subaru is the make, impreza is the family, wrx/sti is the model, ra is the sub model or trim level. There were 16 billion of them made, the fact that a few were made with blue seats and wind up windows or what ever does not make it a rare car. Have no idea why you would even want to import a car that if you trip over in the middle of the street, chances are you will be run over by one. Import something unique and cool by all means. Like the intergrale that was mentioned, or on that note the stratos I was looking at the other day. Or a us muscle car!! I\'m going to bring over a camaro or firebird soon
