  1. It was far from standard whole motor and box from low kms v4 sti, vf30, headers, gate, bellmoth dp and decent exhaust, split rails ect and 19psi. did an un official 12.9 like that at the gisborne car club drags too. u dont expect one of thoes to pump especially from behind where u cant see fmic ect. I liked the eyelids made it look sleepy/blazed lol. It got some rims and a sum adjusties after that pic but dont have any of them.
  2. holy shit is all I have to say bout 17k!!!! Mind you some ppl just crak it,, like miller and his v4 sti silver wagon with few toys and v6 front bumper, fmic, vf30,downpipe ect. No link or gt30/6spd or anything major!! and from memory he got 16K for it!!! Man i hope im this/that luckey one day!

    Link G4 ECU

I know some of the later SF5 foz (v5/6 inlet mani type) come with 440 yellows so can stretch 200wkw there but they all are equiped with a TD04L excpt for sti ofcource but we wouldnt be having this conversation if it was sti now wud we lol. Ive tryed to extract power out of a TD04L before and it doent work lol well not to the 200wkw mark anyway lol. However yes links are awesom and quite abit of power can be pulled from nowhere with a decent link and tune over factory ecu. I like link alot (the newer ones ie G4).
  4. That was the 2876 sory should have labled! My 2871 has a 3" intake lol :-\ . And yes .7 before I polished it . And duno that was how it came from Alltech. He told me same cover as the GT35 But smaller wheel when I was harassing with questions for fitment size!

    Link G4 ECU

    yeah with 200 at all 4 with a factory TD04L ??? ?

    Link G4 ECU

doubt they got 200wkw out of a TD04L! musta had a vf or somthing on it. TD04L will NEVER flow 200 awkw lol.
  7. Hey, yeah ages ago I did one. same as the wrx ones but u got move the legacy coolant overflow bottle for the cold pipe. I managed to keep the spot light but had to swap out the silicone joiners on the intercooler ends for some longer ones with some flex. (and it was TIGHT) lol
  8. they are "semi tuned", I had a set on my old car. As said the two bottom pipes hang pretty low tho!!! (got couple pics somwhere maby). Have abit of rumble down low but go more single tone up top. (not single tone like SYMS tuned length with the 2 into 1 uppipes tho).
  9. Gota luv em just how they came off the factory floor ;D . My old STI RA (last year)
  10. Just a couple pics of my old legacys back in 08 then 09 Black one = Full V4 STI conversion
  11. thatl be mint man. I was never game enough to go the 30 series unless I had AVCS heads. let me know hot it goes . I just like a fun car to drive thats my problem I think. mind u the 2871R doesnt fall off up top ither so thats y I say its the best for street. fun and pumps. cant imagine it pushing much more then 270 ish atw. but hey if u ask me i been down that road and a fun 270 is better then a less responsive laggy 280+ wkw car. I guess it depends what u wna use the car for ae, I just do quite alot of traveling from aux to hometown gisborne and hate having to rape it up the kaimis and gorge or pluck the perfect gear at 100km to pass if u get what i mean. Best of luck with your build anyways itl pump
  12. quite laggy ae, 1st doesnt do much (as youd expect) but second goes well. comes on strong (24psi) at about 5500-6000rpm from second on. maby lil rpm less in 3rd/4th. Dont use 5th kaining much lol. If it had some cams itd help. thats next step for me! concidered going to .64 but sceard im going to get limitd up top and I do like my top end but yeah def abit to laggy for my liking for a street car. You got to give it abit to make the valve go off decently but up in the revs/boost definitly maakes up for it in both gees and freakn loud valve lol
  13. str8 plug up as im aware, I wudnt want to do it unles runing the STI VF 28/29 turbo for that ecu because your td04l will produce boost earlier in the rev range possibly causing it to run abit lean down low cus of smaller turbo and quicker spool then rich up top cus of insufficent flow from Td04l. Rich wont hurt you mayby just yr economy a lil tho lol but lean isant good. This is just my point if u wna do thing s semi properly! Yes the AFM will prol somewhat compensate by regestering that there is more air coming in at lower rpm and try to richen it up but a maps a map on the ecu and if it was my car id wna atleas run the correct turbo for the ecu .
  14. yeah man if its genuine v5 (coil pack to the side) they they same afm as V5 STI and BE/BH5 legacys. some1 else can triple check but theyr the same . Wond insert type
  15. as above the twin scroll is awesom nd mine pulls from yeah about 2800rpm and doesnt drop off. Sti all the way! btw my friend has a 05 wrx non sti and to be honest its slow. A non sti v5 would deal to it. as mentioned earlier the 6 speed box, brembos, dccd all the stuf you will get makes it definitly worth the extra money and definitly hold its value better!
  16. try another gauge! I bought one of thoes $1 reserve Apexi EL boost gauges off trademe and it does all sorts of weird crap. Im sure that guys just selling like ones that didnt pass their QC and he got them somehow and selling them off. As wen I picked it up in person It was just a normal dude about 20 yearz old from a random house and he said his brother went to jap land and got lots of stuff. Ive been watching him on T.M and hes been selling a few but havent seen any feedbacks yet and was wondering if any one else was having issues!?
  17. or $19.50 on trademe Listing #: 294534073. or Listing #: 294517069 if your feeling STI ritch lol
  18. Hey funky yeah def get what your sayn. In person we had a big chat about them when I was getting my block dowelled and yes the 2 year part plays an important role in what he was saying but so does cheep oil AND filter. No point goin on bout this all day but im just saying that from what I and certain other prople have seen Genuine filters seem to do a better job and do play a solid role in the engines life. Subaru made them the way they did for a reason. repco just applied one design/theory to ALL their filters (excpt for size and thread ofcource lol).
  19. Just cus I know sum super smart guy on here would want to try prove his point... Here are JASONS exact words......"Almost all failures I see are bearing related, higher horsepower ones generally do stem from a centre main picking up and feeding junk to #2 and #3 Big-ends, which then fail spectacularly. Older nana-mobiles die due to mal-nutrition - old or crap oil and filter. Nearly every GT wagon failure has a Repco filter on it that looks like it hasn't been off in 2 years, coincidence??!" The last bit is what your interested in! Hes the master with suby engines and has built lots of mad motors and goes deep in terms of thinking and machining and precision so u can say all you like but I have a point. Why skimp out on the filter if you put good oil in it?! Not hating on repco but look down the two side by side and there is quite alot of diference. Flow for one. I bet there is also diference in the coresness of filter media used aswell but havent proved this) repco has like 6 oil inlet holes on the top vs like almost double on a subaru filter. I HAVE MYSELF noticed a small rise in oil pressure by just changine to a subaru filter aswell when I first got my old car. Anyways not going to jack this gys thread.
  20. ill stand by repco filters are shit. If you can afford to put decent oil in it why are you combinding that with a $10 filter????? Just about every suby thats failed a bigend ive seen has had cheep ass filters on them!!! Even ask Jason Lefting wwhat he thinks of them? He told me that quite ofen then add to bigend falures for a few reasons (cant remember off the top of my head but if you guys REALLY wana know ill go back and look in my emails). Yah your right maby asken 4 a gen filter in a old car is abit much but if its been looked after the chances a subaru dealership would of serviced it(lady owner!!!) and then genuine parts get used!~!
  21. yeah def sounds like turbo seals to me BUT yes as the exhaust is new they sometimes do smoke a tad as there is oil type stuff as mentioned above in there. This usually burns out over about 2 days or so but the whole exhaust needs to get hot like open road driving or espesialy hills. If its still there after that unfortunatly I say turbo seals. (exactly what my garrett used to do). In saying that I havent see a VF36/37 play up yet .
