I got the Yokohama Geolander in my Lancaster and next year I\'ll have to replace them but I\'m considering to do it now so I can sell my tyres maybe. Geolander are the original fitted on Outback/Lancaster model but I don\'t really like those, so I\'m thinking to go for another brand. I use around 80% - 90% in open roads and town and the rest in "off road", not much in to snow but living in Qtwn sometimes can be good if are good in snow. Can somebody give me some suggestions, tell me experiences with other brands, and so where did you buy it and how much did you pay? Thanks for the help!

Hahaha yeah, seeing that no many SUV are around this area we can do another kind of trip... and do that off road one next time. I really want to do something!

That's great, what car do you have? Because depending of that is the trip to do. I'm keen to do some off road (not heavy of course) We should put a date to organize with time where to go so I can take off at work. I have a friend he wants to go also to Onslow rd but he would come with me to take pics and make some videos haha.

LOL... I gave the idea to go to Onslow Road for some off road trip. I know we should go in October coz roads are closed now... but I don't see who's motivated here!

Sorry mate, I didn't know which car do you have... in that case, as I proposed before who wants to come and cant go with his car, can go with some of us... I'm more than happy to go with some of you in my car ;D. Haha I just gave the idea looking that in the area there's some ones with Forester, Outback..

Hahaha I'm not pretending to destroy my car lol, few scratches under the bumper maybe happen (I hope no ;D) but the idea is to use the criteria, if we see is not possible to continue don't drive. Macetown I'll say NO coz is to hard for our cars but keen to check something less "extreme" The idea is to visit places where a normal car can't go, crossing fords, mud... things where we know our cars will enjoy too : I think if someone wants to come but has a lowered car can come with some of us? I don't think a GTB can go to some of this areas. Who keens to go and when do you think can be a good moment?

I saw a video were a 4WD camper van went to Onslow Road so shouldn't be too hard that road. I really keen to go there, but would be better if we make trip there, to share/enjoy the day/days and help us in case we get stuck hahaha ;D I think October could be ok no? I mean for the weather. Hahaha talking about hard places... check this video!

Talking about meet. I'm interested to make an off road trip, but because I'm new here don't know many places apart of Skippers Canyon, and I've been looking on Internet but I just found extreme 4WD roads, too hard for our Subis. But what about this places:? -Nevis Valley -Dunstan Trail -Thomson Gorge -The Onslow Road Is it possible to go in our Subis? (Outback/Lancaster, Forester and any other with high ground distance) Who wants/keen to go, so we can organize an off road trip?

Today I saw it in te Subaru Garage here in Qtwn (I forgot the name the place). You were doing some inspection?

I checked the car the other day for another reason and there's no leaks, and Feron he checked and did a services to the car before selling it, like new breaks, oils and some other things. I haven't smell again the clutch, so probably I'm using it better LOL

I tried many ways the "hill holder" and doesn't work on my car . A friend with a GTB manual told me sometimes he smell the same in his car here... so, maybe I'm not killing my clutch, but I have to practice more LOL

I'll try it, hope it works coz I tried before doing that but choosing first gear, never in neutral...and what I know is all the AWD manual with dual comes with hill holder... or i'm wrong?

Talking about clutch...its supposed because is manual and has dual range, my car comes with the "hill holder" no?? At least the Subaru in other countries all the AWD + MT + Dual Range comes with hill holder... this one no Its because the Lancaster is for the Japanese market?

Its weird, I feel like a bad driver now hahaha... I know I'm more in use with auto trans, but I never had problems using manuals in the hills, so I shouldn't been doing something wrong now! haha... I should practice more.

Slipping because bad use? or because something is not ok?

As some ones knows I bought a Lancaster 2001 with 104.000kms. Its manual and since I have it, when I'm parking in the hills of Queenstown (Fernhill, Goldfield Heights, wherever) my clutch smells like something burning just for few seconds. Doesn't matter if I accelerate too much or not, but every time in a hill when I have to move slow the car for parking the clutch smells very strong. The clutch was checked by the dealer when the car arrived and feels, drives ok... so I'm not sure if its because I'm not in use yet with the manual transmission or is normal the smell in this hills or there's something wrong. Coments?? ???

I'd like to help but I don't know about mechanic stuff uhmmmmm :-\
