I figured it would have to be a wheel bearing. But if it is a bearing wouldnt the wheel have a bit of play because i have checked a few time now there no play there at all
Hi guys im hoping someone here can help with this issue im having. I have a 1996 wrx wagon. Its been lowered by the previous owner and i dont know what brand the springs are. Anyway about a week after i got the car i started noticing a metal on metal grinding noise in the left rear end. 99% of the time i t is fine . It only happens when i turn right very sharp at low speed and when travelling 80km+ even on a gradual bend. I dont know if it is the springs, the strut or the sway bar etc but i have jacked the car up multiple times and cant find anything wrong. It has passed 2 wofs like this and i even asked the inspector to take a quick look and he cant find anything wrong either.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated
So i just had my dash apart ( fiddling as usual ) and i came across this
What is it ? Bare in mind i know almost nothing about the electrical side of cars lol
So its not 13 sites nationwide that WILL stock it. Its 13 sites nationwide that will be removed and replaced. Hopefully i can still get it somewhere in Dunedin. Andy bay rd BP still stocking it as of yesterday
So i got it all hooked back up and man it just feels soooo much better. It enen shifts smoother. It was real jerky before.
But i thought the stock bov was meant to make a whistle sound when you boost. Mines just silent. It doesnt bother me though
I just took the afm off and checked it out. It looks good and clean. I only have this problem in 4th and 5th gears going up hill. I have never run into any problems on the flat before so it could be weeks before it happens again.
Im stumped
Long story short i think my aftermarket bov isnt working properly and i want to put the stock bov back on.Not sure how to though. This is my first turbo and i am learning about it slowly.
Anyway i have this
And this is my current bov
Can someone try and explain to me how t o put the stock one back in pls
Im thinking it might have something to do with my blow off valve because once the boost is cut, even when i boost to 6psi, i cant really hear the bov at all. I think i might change back to the factory bov and see if it helps at all
I have a 96 v2 wrx and usually my target boost is 12psi. For the last few months though whenever i hold the boost for 10 seconds or more it cuts power to 6psi and the only way to get it right again is to disconnect the negative battery lead and let it sit for an hour.
I getting rather tired of doing that though. I have tried checking to see if it is throwing any cels but its not. The engine check light just flashes continuously which i gather means no problem.
Any thoughts??
Im looking at buying a Cwest style grill off trademe but the pics dont look like it will fit. I have asked on the auction and he replied that it should fit if my headlights are pre facelift. Im still not sure though.
This is my car at the moment:
