  1. fuel pump primes! runs smooth but then dies slightly roughly : no change when given the boot
  2. is my mates car, have checked the codes and there is nothing that would relate to this issue, maybe a afm issue? also reset the ecu.
  3. will do man! your such a knowledgeable guy thanks!
  4. also how does one bed the clutch in and how many ks should I drive like this for?
  5. that exeedy link doesn\'t work any more! and thought you might have to install a peddle stop or adjust the peddle travel?
  6. will be pulling my engine as I know how to do this and in my mind will be alot quicker as iv\'e done it before, any suggestions would be good as iv\'e never fitted a clutch before and have no idea how to adjust it once its running again, located in Auckland thanks.
  7. my mate has a v5 sti with a j2 ecu.. he has a vf22 and a 3" exhaust with a fully forged engine running 22-25 psi daily.. has done for over 3 years.. the ecu controls it nicely but I fully agree it would go better with a tune.. this just proves that the stock ecu is quite capable as it is!
  8. the v5 sti g box has exactly the same code as my b4 makes sense as they are basically v5/6 drive lines any way
  9. i\'m thinking of getting 2 vf14 secondary turbos.. id use the vf14 chra with a vf13 cover and a ar 16 exhaust housing for the primary and also get the wg ported out with a bigger flapper.. then for the secondary id use the vf14 chra and get a ar 18 exhaust housing.. apparently this is the best upgrade you can do before going to tdo4 chra\'s!
  10. if it goes black quickly it means the oil is doing its job lol
  11. dam its not a straight swap over then :-[ how ever a vf31 with a vf20 exhaust housing is a straight swap??
  12. I am actually reading alot of info telemekas has previously written right now, i\'m all for more power up high but I don\'t like lag on the primary turbo!
  13. the vf13, vf18, vf20 all share the same exhaust wheels apparently, it\'s the secondary turbos that start changing sizes.
  14. its just that the vf26/27 combo was the best upgrade for the twin turbos and flowed the most out of all of them blah blah, I just didn\'t want to compromise any thing.
  15. got a vf26 turbo with a stuffed exhaust housing and i\'m wanting to know what would happen if I put a bigger exhaust housing on it off a vf20 I have lying round.. would it cause more lag or would I gain power or maybe even have quicker spool up?
  16. what about the likes of a twin turbo vs single turbo.. heard they don\'t like too much flow e.g. 3"
