yea the block it has in it now has already been done before and has stuffed conrods etc and the guy reckons that he cant grind it back anymore might have sussed a 2nd hand engine from a guy who ships them from Japan so hopefully wont be a massive cost.

Hi, i have a 2000 manual B4 legacy which has blown a big end bearing, have taken it into get reconditioned but they have told me that the engine has already been done before and too f**ked to repair. i have found a 2nd hand engine BUT its from an auto B4 legacy. Does anyone know if you can chuck that block etc straight into the manual or will it not work/ horse power difference? Help! Thanks Kim ;D
