  1. Thank you for reply, I\'ll look into this!
  2. Hey guys, I noticed my front driver\'s side outer cv boot is completely torn and spewing grease everywhere. I realise it\'s easier to replace the whole axle with joint rather than try rebuilt, also I don\'t know how long it\'s been like that and whether it will start knocking soon. My question is, for a second part axle, can I use one from any other BE legacy? Is there a difference between the axles in the non turbo models? I\'m just having trouble finding a part for now, pick a part and trademe fruitless so far. Thank you.
  3. Hope so too but it didn\'t sound good going into first. After the tow didnt make any more noises going into reverse, felt like neutral. Will ring oil changers on tuesday to let them know, car is now sitting in front of auto transmission place to have it looked at on Tuesday too. Not a good feeling after owning the car for 2 weeks. Private sale too edit: checked fluid level at the time when it stopped working and was at normal level...will check again tomorrow but will most likely be in vain.
  4. Hey guys, first post, wish it was a happier one. I just bought a 99 Legacy B4 RS w 130 000kms on the clock two weeks ago. Tiptronic transmission (i know...). No problems, gear changes very smooth, no clunk into reverse. I checked the trans fluid soon and was light brown, def not cherry red. Took it in to Oil Changers and had a fluid flush and new filer. The old filter was still the factory one. Noticed a slight improvement, but still there was no problem before. Two days later I was driving Wellie to Taupo and no problems. After parking and setting off again the car would not shift into reverse...at all...just made some clunking noises and nothing. Had to push it out and in D engages and started going, again w noises. Had to have it towed back to Wellie, 600 bucks later. Anyone know what this could be? Could the guys at Oil changers messed something up or just a coincidence? Thanks in advance!
