Hi guys. Does anyone know of any good mobile mechanics to do services ? Not Home Tune as I found them pretty useless the last couple of times I had them come out on my older cars. Located in Auckland. Cheers.

Try and find a BP if you can for the price you are after. I use to have a 97 twin turbo Legacy GT, and my manual 04 Legacy GT single turbo kills it in performance, reliability and pretty much every aspect. No head gasket issues either, not sure if that is a general problem with the older GT Legacy's ?

Thanks guys, the Tyre center I am getting them through say the Nexens are really good, they also seel Bridgestone, Toyo, Falkens etc. 1 guy has them on his 95 RS, he had Toyo's before but rates the Nexen SU1 as even better. GT Radial and Bridgestone are more expensive, he also reckons the Falkens are similar quality to the Nexens. Looked online and the Nexens SU1's had really good reviews, I am buying a whole set so got them at a really good price.

Has anyone purchased Nexen tyres before? Looking to get some next week at a great price, had a few people say they are really good.

So do you think it is a waste of money upgrading to the EBC brake pads?

I'm just looking for better brakes just for winter for general safety. On the EBC website it has 4 colors. Green for cars under 200 hp, Yellow for cars around 300 hp, and a red and a blue, think they are for drag racing, rallying etc.

Has any one put EBC brake pads on their car? I read the green ones are cars up to 200 bhp, and the yellows on cars up to 300 bhp. Don't like the pads on my car at the moment, orange ones not sure of the brand name but feel quite spongy.

Yes, 100 % recirculating. I feel the car pulls much better now and no more idle problems since.

Iforce isn't working , pretty much the BOV is black. You have 1 trumpet that is black and a silver screw in thing that the is meant to be plumbed back to the original hose. They bunged up the hose with a metal thingy, but the 2 items on the BOV weren't connected to anything.

Hi everyone. Last year I had a GFB response BOV put on my car.I took it to Pit Stop and I thought all good it has been set up fine. Over the last wee while though I have noticed issues to my rev counter when coming to a stop, it hunts up and down and a few times my car has stalled. Took my car to see the guys at Highbrook Autos on Tuesday and the first thing the noticed was the BOV has been put on back to front. The hose that was meant to go to the silver screw in bit of the BOV had been blocked up with a metal bung and the trumpet and the silver screw on the BOV are the wrong way round. So removed the bung and swapped the two around on my BOV and put the hose onto the silver screw in bit and put a clamp on that. Took the car for a drive and WOW feels like a new car,pulls so much harder but no BOV noise now though as it is plumb backed, but can't believe this whole time the BOV installed wrong was causing all these issues. I haven't had any revs hunting up and down since. Has any one had issues similar to this before?

Looking at finally getting a set of Bridgestone MY02 tyres for my car. Safety first in my eyes when it comes to tyres. Got a good price on a set of 4 tyres, has any one had these on their cars before? Was between these and the Bridgestone Potenza RE003 I think they were. Directional tyres both of them. Opinions. Cheers.

And can you tell the difference when you are driving between a cheapish tyre and a higher end one? Sorry only have Ovations on mine, cost $140 each.

I have a 2004 GT Legacy manual, do the manuals come with a Td04 HLA or VF 38 because I have different people say they come with either lol. Any one know ?

Hi there, I have a 2004 GT Legacy Manual and lately I have the error code ER - PD coming up on my dash. Has anyone had this before and what was it? Any ideas on how to fix this code, would re setting the battery work? Cheers.

I had the downpipe put on 2004 gt 2 days ago man what a difference it has made .The sound wow especially around 4 k is loud and the car accelerates so much quicker aswell. The car sounds alot different to, much more aggressive sounding and drives much stronger if that makes sense was told it gained about 20 odd kw from the pipe also love the turbo noise best mod i have done so far. Would recommend it to anyone.

I run the gfb on my legacy it\'s awesome, you can turn it to full atmosphere or turn it right down to no bov noise or in between it\'s a good quality bov

I have a bp legacy turbo only mods are a bov and exhaust from the cat back. Was thinking about getting a front pipe, has anyone who has had it done got any noticeable gains and the the turbo whistle sound? Cheers
