Front inner CV popped pulling out of my driveway. New complete driveshaft from Repco and about ten minutes, sorted.

New front pads and a wheel alignment. I'm sure it'll break in a semi significant way a week out like it does every other time I try to take it to the track though

Not worth the hassle, you probably won't notice the difference

Ryco Z79X are good. Never use store brand ones - can tell the difference with them in your hand. factory recommends 5-30, that's what I'd be putting in unless it's burning it. I run 10-40 but it's forged with loose tolerances.

Yes. I don't think I've ever watched a V8 Supercar race where they've snapped an axle. Are you talking from experience here?
A scratch built race car is remotely relevant to this how? 8===D

Stupid. All that work putting that drivetrain in, and they don't bother making a proper exhaust, fitting a filter or even a bonnet? Two thumbs down.

I can see the problem, your 4 is inline.

I had a glass fibre one on a car I used to own, didn't seem to have as drastic an effect on NVH as Gripless has said. Have a solid alloy Whiteline one floating around, might biff it on when I fit a front mount next week and chime in.

Yeah. It's called paint.

Probably just ordered you some eBay stuff and ripped you a premium on top I'd say. Sprayed some aerosol underseal inside one of my doors the other day whilst tidying wiring and it made a noticeable difference.

I think I've had maybe five turbo Subies now, all bought at the bottom of their depreciation cycle due to various degrees of F***edness. Theyve taken twenty years of abuse and neglect better than any of the other shitboxes I've owned - Hondas, Volvos, Toyotas, Fords - all the interior switches still worked for example, no catastrophic body rust, still had all their vents, no failing VSS or blocked PCV system you have to retain which costs 300 for a kit from the States etc etc. They do have a bit of a rep but you take any other turbo car with twenty plus years and 250 k on the clock driven by a series of owners that thought they were Colin McRae whilst running on 91 octane and mineral 20/50 and see how they hold up..

Drive it a bit. It'll probably settle down.

WOF fail on rear tyres, blown hi stop bulb and dicky hi/lo headlight switch. Got some RE003s coming, another switch pulled from parts car and ditto on the bulb. Had Whiteline offset bushes, extended ball joints and tie rods installed and an alignment too.

Where do you get it from?
BNT tend to stock Motomuck, and if your local doesn't have it they can definitely get it.

What do you think of the braided lines? Are they of well-made/good quality? I've been eyeing up a set.
I doubt they'll do anything for track times but they feel great on the pedal. They seem okay, back ones were perhaps a little short but that's probably because they're GC8 lines on a BF5.

Swapped adjusties for KYB/King supers, replaced all sway bar links with Whiteline items, installed Goodridge braided lines, cleaned out all the rubbish and washed the thing in the dark after work for a hopeful WOF tomorrow. What a drag

Znoelli sell good performance pads also. Another idea would be to give ie Racebrakes a ring.

No longer comfortable to ride it.?

No tracking number was even mentioned, shipping was not discussed. You almost have to go out of your way to send things untracked and why the hell would you for the sake of saving a dollar or two. It's bullshit and the behaviour paints a picture.

Still no dice, despite Dariusire stepping in etc. More people have stepped out of the woodwork and told me stories, always interesting. 'William' AKA Greg's DOBC name is RSK_Greg or I believe 'The Hunter'.

Mmm yep I've recently been ripped off by someone (not this guy though) trying to sell me something, who I've since found out has done this to a lot of other people. Have seen that other people have filed police reports against the guy I dealt with, but I haven't yet. What are the chances of getting your money back if this guy gets caught / charged through the courts?
Once bitten twice shy.. From now on I'll be calling out people when they try selling me something.
Indeed, I'll be looking into it. As I said Facebook is completely unregulated and untrustworthy but you'd think these two at least would be above suspicion. Not so.
