  1. It says at engine but gcp said at wheels? Safe and conservative tune, needs bigger turbo and injectors 2.35l forged and sleeved Link g4 850cc injectors nearly maxed on bp 98 Sinco mani and gt3082 turbo @ 1.5bar Kelford 280 degree cams
  2. Owned car for about 5months and spent around 6k on it, new manifold, ic piping, engine oit and checked over, and a tune. Easy way to spend money :-\
  3. Hit up f.f.sltd if youre after an engine rebuild, thdy have good prices and great quality builds. Thats only if you decide youre engines toast and want to upgrade it. Good luck with issues though
  4. Bein on same topic as plugs, has anyone gone to anything other than standard ignition setup? Other than upgraded leads.
  5. No worries will get some 7s and gap them down and chuck em in. Will be on dyno soon so want plugs to be done first
  6. Sweet! Ive got some new copper ones ngk bkr6e and gapped them to 0.7mm
  7. hey all am wonderin what sort of plugs and gaps people are using for big power with coil and leads, not so much coil on plug. cheers
  8. None on my tablet,, will upload some in next little while. If i cant fix miss iol get gcp to sus it and retune but earliest he can do that is next week. Back to the running shoes for a week i think haha
  9. Was 300wkw so pretty happy with power but i think it was a rushed tune, previous owner had it done not me. Too end was good but down low was rough. I really noticed the mis one day after driving in the rain, so i thought it was the coil as it was close to the scoop but have since changed it. Tryna make sure all the earths are earthed right to as i heard a dodgy earth could cause some issues
  10. Yup at normal operating temp and was tuned by kent at speedsource last year, hasnt done many kms since the tune. Ill try sus a laptop and data log, only have a tablet to use for now....laptop shat the bed sadly
  11. car is v4 wrx sti Mods zre fully forged, link g4, twisted turbo, aftermarket fuelling, fmic, cams. Prob is that on very light throttle it misses and hesitates but once you put foot down its smooth again and then randomly pops and farts on boost in random gears. Ive changed the plugs, coil and ignitor. Still no change. Theres no cel or any codes on the g4. I dont know whether its a crappy tune thats causing it or something minor. I thought plugs were first obvious thing but no luck. Im not too sure where to look next, ive searched but noone seems to havea misfire on light throttle. Any help would be mint
  12. Sincos be best bet man, does top work and good prices too
  13. Got engine back from possum bourne motorsport with new head gaskets, strip and check over and relapped exhaust valves on number 3 cylinder.....was found in a leak down test. Confirmed to be 2.35l with 280dergree kelford cams and about 9:1 compression ratio Engine back in and getting last few things tidied up before tune in a week, excited as to see what they can get and how different it will drive
  14. Report the car stolen to the cops, if theres no proof that its "pay before yo drive away" then wouldnt it technically be stolen? Its yours and a.he wont give it back and b.wont tell you location......except "my girlfriends"
  15. At the mo its built as a street legal track car. Lots of whiteline goodies and tein suspension with semi slicks e.t.c. I want to tidy it up further and make engine bay near show clean fir next years nats. Will post up dyno sheet when i scan it, was tuned at speedsource mainly for top end power so its abit laggy. Gary said he can make it alot better
  16. Its got a ej20 closed deck block thats been bored and sleeved with oversize pistons and heads are ported polished with 280degree kelford cams. At the moment im running brand new garrett gt30/40 but may change to 35/40 off my mates wrx. First tune has 305wkw on 98 and gcp said he could get more as it is with smoother power curve. Blocks at pbms so they can check the valves as it has a suspected leaking valve, only owned it for a month but still happy with everything else it has and not minding tooo much if i need any new internals.....do it once do it right.
  17. Pulled engine out and stripped it down to bare long block then dropped it off to possum bourne ms, only took 4hrs from popping the bonnet til it was dropped off.....pretty good for first solo attempt and only basic tools. ALOT easier being not standard engine though, bugger all to unplug. Tune time in couple weeks.....hoping to see 340-350wkw on e85
  18. Took upside down sway bar off and fitted correctly, replaced split pins, checked all suspension bolts/nuts in rear, removed turbo and up pipe to fix v clamp, removed intake mani to repaint, swore at various tools that alwaysseemed to be out of reach when you need them most
  19. Hey all jsut writing a little speil here to give some feed back on one of our fellow members. I had the unfortunate luck of running a BEB and needed a new engine pretty asap. Brendan aka "Pollockmarine" sus\'d me a forged lomng block with exchange for my old one and cash his way. Long block consisted of acid dipped cloed deck block, forged pistons and rods, new gaskets and seals, serviced v6 heeads, new water pump and thermostat, and new cambelt with tensioners e.t.c Was put together in a timely manner with awesome communication of the progress. Was then sent to me from welly to auckland and was secured on a pellet all covered up correctly. Engine started first pop and hasnt had any issues in first 2000kms so far and i have no doubts itll last ages. Recommend him for any work and prices are very good, cheers heaps for all the work Brendan! Hope everyone else can experience your workmanship *hopefully posted in the right section
  20. hey guys been searching around and have found bits and pieces answers to my questions. If i have the v8 ecu and engine loom is it a massive mission to merge the rest of my v6 loom into it i.e all the interior stuff like lights and dash shit. I could maybe buy a link but thats another huge expense. Im prepared to take time and do it if its not the sorta thning that a professional needs to do, if its a matter of looking at pinouts and matching/solderng wires then id be keen to give it a go. Cheers
  21. Haha most likely would be. Friggen tidy car, dont see many old leggys aroind....esp ra\'s
  22. Is this a member off here? White bc5 ra with ppalte the same. Was in mission in aucks this morning, have to say bloody meanest legacy ive seen! And attracted alot of positive comments from other people at the pub as it went past.
