  1. Sorry to hear that bud. What street did this happen on?
  2. s***, I'm in that carpark all the time and always thought it was a real low-risk carpark due to the amount of people around. Sounds like it was a latenight shopping night, so I guess you get thieves doing their own "late night shopping" too. Sad to hear when a subi's been stolen. I highly suggest you get an alarm with immobiliser and one of them prolock steering locks with the high pitched alarm built-in.
  3. I have the same with my gearstick having too much movement. Thinking of changing to a GFB short shifter beacuse it's adjustable and getting some TIC or Kartboy shifter bushings ordered from this place: http://www.entra.com.au as they come highly recommended.
  4. Possibly what is called the throw out bearing - part of the clutch and clutch assembly, maybe pressure plate but throw out bearing is typically first thing to go or get noisy. Generally have to replace whole clutch then.
  5. I have a 2ft tropical aquarium Has 1 angel fish, 2 pearl gourami's, 1 blue gourami, 1 moonlight gourami, a mix of tetras & barbs and an albino pleco (sucker fish like above). Used to have a 4ft tank and a tall hex tank. My old's had a 7ft tank that had a giant gourami, 3 silver dollars a flower horn, an Oscar and a massive plecostomus. The flower horn was a mean machine....HAD TEETH lol!!
  6. I've been looking around for ages for a decent one also...MRT in aussie have a nice one however it's expensive...considering the exchange rate and all. Looks like Caspros might show us a demo with his one.
  7. Oh yep sounds good mate! Definately interested in seeing it test fitted if you get the time to do it and throw a pic up so I can see how it looks?
  8. Still....false or misleading advertising would be an issue here. Could be a genuine mistake like he got told by the person/salesman he bought it off orginally that it was a Prodrive.
  9. Ver. 6 STi and get about 550kms per tank of BP98 fuel. Mix of motorway and urban crawl. Get about 50kms less if I'm forced to use Shell V Power :-[ I have changed my fuel filter, spark plugs and o2 sensor too and run catless turboback exhaust so I'm sure that helps economy.
  10. Hi fellas Has anybody had any experience or have any knowledge on these centre dash gauge holders for the GC8 Impreza from Driven Performance? - http://www.drivenperformance.co.nz/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1079 They seem cheap so I bet they are a rough fit and the colour won't match the dash board, however I could put a matt-finish carbon overlay over it. Any info would be appreciated! Cheers Cody
  11. Few things that may cause problems like yours: Faulty Air Flow Metre (common on V5 & V6 models) Dirty Idle Control Valve Oxygen Sensor (due for replacement perhaps) Engine Temp Sensor (May also be due for replacement) May also be wise to check your battery terminals and that the connections are tightly on.
  12. The bloke that bought my old Version 4 STi off me had is V3 STi stolen from Wilson Car park in town. They have camera's but when he asked them for the footage, they said the camera's are dudds and just there to scare off potential theives.
  13. Reverse gear doesn't have synchros I believe, so naturally it will be harder to get it in reverse, especially if your doing it quickly.

    Squeaky boot door

My doors on my impreza sadan were squeeky but then sprayed some white lithium grease on the hinges and now they're quiet and easy to open and close like new. Give that stuff a try and see how it goes.
  15. I had this same issue on my V6 STi. Cleaned the idle control valve (icv), throttle position sensor (TPS) and throttle body out and sprayed some contact cleaner on the AFM sensor and that solved my rough idle issue.
