  1. This will/should answer your PM & put the info for all to see... b136,13 shield earth will, somewhere along the lines get an earth, but it will be supplied by the ECU.. so the test to do is with B136 unpluged 13 should not have any continity to ground, of course when you plug B136 into the ECU it will have a circuit to ground no doubt through its noise supression/protection circuitry. So yea, with 136 unplugged and no continity to ground you have done it right (long as all the correct wires/earths/shield are jointly connected). B136 12 is one of the earths that goes to ground on the chasis and B136 18 joins it at the same location as does B137 24, if you trace using the V3/4 wiring diagram you will see this. (there is a diagram in note 4 showing this in this thread) B136,7 is the AFM dedicated earth (i.e. point to point from AFM to ECU) with the plug B136 unplugged it should not have continuity to ground or any other sensor earths... hense the word \'dedicated\' (yes when you plug B136 in it will/should get an earth supllied by the ECU) B136,9 - crank and cam sensor earth (not the shields) you can solder these two wires together and simply join into pin 9, just dont get the signal and earths mixed up.. i\'d be double checking these sensors and in doing so i\'d be refering to the v3/4 diagram and colours to assist.. so trace and double check: signal wire, earth wires shield wires so yea, dont worry too much about earthing behaviour once the ECU plugs are plugged in, just make sure its all mint/matches v3/4 wiring with it unplugged You have to hyper-focus and truely understand whats going on, dont rush, take your time, guessing and hoping for the best dosent work here . You will suss it, its very hard to help out over the interwebz HINT: if you are 100% sure you have it all right and it still wont fire/run??? pull your plugs and clean them, they foule REAL easy from prior bad starts and crap running HINT2: for the likes of tracing/distinguishing cam and crank signal & earth wires it does help alot to use an actual under manifold v3/4 loom as the colours make it easier to trace using the v3/4 diagram. in saying that it can be done using the TT loom.
  2. i gots some v3 STI seats for $150 wee rip in the drivers side spot where they normally go in Timaru
  3. $1300, he wanted like 2k orginally, i talked him down to $1600 then another $300 off when the head G blew. The car is/was very much worth fixing as its very low Kms (137,000) and it shows, the interior mint. so it will owe me about 2.7K once all done, i look at like this.... if i cam across a car like that, with those Ks, in that condition, with all the reciepts and work done etc i would snap it up for around 3k no worries plus i am soo looking forward to no oil changes every 5000 and being waay nicer on the fuel still got the 2003 BP turb for a boost when ever
  4. K engine is out... Engine builder said the head gaskets were at the very begining of blowing and the heads are mint otherwise have fitted: - heads been planned + valves lapped - new water pump - new thermostat - new idlers - tensioner - cam belt - cam seals - crank seal + oil pump serivce & O ring - rear crank seal - manifold gaskets - radiator professionally flushed - new coolant - fresh oil and filter hopefully in and going this weekend, pics soon
  5. Hey do the 2.0L quad cams non turbo share the same fuel pump as the turbo models? wondering if i cud use my walbro or a OEM STI pump in my BF wagon? (coz i have both)
  6. i have some v3 STI seats for sale, in Timaru though $150, has one wee rip on drivers kidney support
  7. dunno if seen this, i hadnt.. ken block car build wud love to drop car off and simply have it done for you
  8. BH engine wrong compression ratio for anything bar the stock BH ECU of which the ECU plug configuration is completely differant to BG or V3/4.. or cud use after market ECU. summary = ahole of a job
  9. mate i have everything you need to make yours a single turbo.. i even have a manual BG leggy already wired up for a single T, in Timaru heres most the listings (but not everything) http://www.trademe.co.nz/MyTradeMe/Sell/Current.aspx I have a full V3/4 manifold ECU - matching boost noid, MAP and APS on the bracket, all vac lines intercooler with brackets 3" down pipe the single turbo heater pipes from the water pump single turno exaust manifold with Up pipe all youd need is a turbo
  10. yea man, Tim is bretty stoked with it, least it went to a passionate owner in the club aye you should buy my rolling BG single T legacy - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=523674220 i\'d do u a deal :
  11. ohh great, it has a blown head gasket LOL i have all the luck It over heated on way back from chch, did thermostat and got radiator flushed first.. no dice right so i will definitly fix this car, will get the heads reconditioned no worries.. how much are genuine BF head gaskets normally? (trade price) should i get a full gasket/seal set like this? any good? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/subaru/engines/auction-523465470.htm
  12. ahh yip, yea i tried them with stock shocks at the top of the wheels hit the bottom of the shock so yea v7 shocks FTW
  13. cool, they dont fit with stock shocks though aye?
  14. update: sold Leone to Tim Green picked up the BF VZ wagon yesterday, 137,000kms, very good condition! pics soon
  15. yea plenty of ppl have rallied them but i suspect theyd have adjustable computers and associated mods aye.. what i read was prolly more about playing around at home with turbos and boost and not doing associated mods then they go bang sort of thing
  16. i read that the EA82T\'s are p1ss weak and dont like having bigger turbos fitted or adjusting the boost.. something to do with heat in the drivers side head
  17. pissin down with rain ere, in garage pulling donk out of BG i see a slight tear in the undermanifold intake hose, wonder if that caused BEB to go?? its not that big of a tear but still Will get heads off and tr to see why BEB blew
  18. yea, just the whole 5 stud thing really.. so you can run any rims. What do BCs look better with, V7 STI 17" or the likes of 15" BBS, as i have both
  19. Hey, SO the leone i brought didnt really suit my needs i.e. cudnt fit my v7 wheels or STI seats etc (all stuff off my stuffed BG single T). SO i have to sell the leone turbo wagon, Tim Green on here may want it.. yet to confirm, so if there are any takers let me know. See the pics here http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,32736.0.html paid $1050 for it will let it go for that, spent 2 solid days stripping and cleaning the interior.. VERY tidy now! but i still wanted a N/A for fuel economy as we may be moveing into the country so i found a 1989 BF legacy BF manual, only has 137Kms on it! it will soon be sporting v7 shocks, STI seats and v7 STI wheels + will tint the windows etc etc I dont have it quite in my posession yet.. but its coming ;D
  20. cheers chaps.. yea i was most impressed with the condition of the interior really, to look at it initially yud think it was ready for the scrap heap. Big buzz knowing you can restore them to their former glory and therefor save them from being scraped.
