  1. Ahh ok so i would probably be better just upgrading them to daytime runners and leaving them set with the fog light switch?

On that note do you guys know of any good brands that i could change them both to? i was looking at them and the other one looks like its had a hard life and might give up shortly anyway.

  2. Hey guys so i just saw today that one of my fog lights wasnt working and when i looked closer it seems something has smashed into it and destroyed the glass.

So as the one is truly stuffed i was thinking about making them as bright as dam possible and use them as maybe a secondary highbeam if thats even possible?

are there any sort of kit options to replace them both or does anyone know of anything that could work in their place?

  3. For your exhaust if you want it to sound nice with a bit of loud just take the mufflers off and get some pipe put in their place. That's what I did as one of my mufflers had a hole in it and it only cost me $150 iirc.

I'll make a video this arvo if the weather holds up and put up the link.

Um yeah I dunno, I'm socially retarded at best so ideas come at a slow rate of knots I'm afraid. Very open to suggestion from the three local people interested

Maybe an open invite to get peeps coming to the mt from round the area (like hams & auckland etc) on a weekend to all meet up on the waterfront and perve

    at cars

Haha its a good name tho and is there any like free/public bbqs or anything around the Mount or any nice area that we could park without worrying about cars? Could have like a bbq or even fish and chips always works?

I managed to lock mine once while it was running (winter morning warm-up) - do not really want to do it again. I first thought "not a problem" and started pulling the door handle (pre-programmed code to open without a key) but apparently this feature wouldn't work when the engine is running. Luckily I had a spare key at home...

oh yeh? luckily i didn't keep trying it then or i would've been stuck outside with the dog inside haha. So a turbo timer will work, and are there ones that you don't have to have going every time you turn off the car?

and also and recommendations for what brands/makes for a 2007 Subaru legacy bl5?

Possible I think, my turbo timer can go up to 9 mins and 50 secs. But if you left the car under sun light for 10 mins without running, I don't think the A/C can keep the interior cool in some really hot day.

Tbh, my advice would be leave your dog at home, it's not worth it. If you really want to bring the dog, you may want to invest some more gears like heat shield, cooling mat for dog, battery power fan, keep your window down + leave some note for other people while away, etc

Sometimes it's a case of coming home from the vet or the beach or something and getting a call saying we need something from the store. If I could take her in with me I would.

  7. Already tried the 2 keys trick but my car won't lock all 4 doors when you try lock it from outside.

And not really a big fan of the window cage things. Even with the windows down the car still gets hot. And the dog is pretty much shaved haha she has very light fur covering her.

  8. Hey guys.

So I've been looking at turbo timers and need some advice, I know what the general consensus is about them but I'm wondering if it's possible to use one for like 10-15mins at a time?

I carry my dog in my car every now and then and some occasions call for me to go to the shop or something on the way home and looking for some way to keep her cool.

Any options and/or advice is much appreciated :)

Being an 07 yours is a facelift isn't it? If so then there's not a chance without changing fenders and other bits, so not cheap. Or are you thinking of adding halo's to your current ones?

Ok haha yeh not gonna go there then. If was gonna be an easy fix then I would do it but might stick to my original plan of opening the headlights and adding some led light strip in them.

    Cheers Andy.

  10. Ok so the manuals are more 50/50 and the autos can vary depending on model and year I would think?

And yeh I know subies are awd not proper 4wd haha. It's quite interesting to see that the autos are different tho.

  11. Hey guys so me and a workmates were discussing this and we couldn't figure it out so I've got a 2007 subaru legacy sedan and we were wondering what is the power percentage of the wheels like is it 50/50 or is it different? And also when you have a 4x4 and you push diff lock is it locking all 4 wheels so they have the same amount and can't slip?

    Cheers
