  1. this code is on the v7-v10 OBD2 cars (and the related legacy and foresters that fall in that category) it is specific to AVCS equipped cars only its not a common code but its pretty much a PIA and involves a lot of tracking around the loom/oil control solenoid basically start on the pins of the OCV and trace continuity from there to ecu also, open oil banjo bolt and see if the little filter has dislodged and stuck (best to remove while u there) wiring: avcs solenoid - plug e37/38 goes to b21 plug by battery then to ecu - b84 plug pin e17/16 e6/12 (the left and right pair) also manually power the solenoid and see if it moves as a dead solenoid will give same issue while logging the issue: you will notice the avcs advanced will be mostly static and only moved few degrees from accelerating from idle to near redline back to idle (normally moved from low to max and back when doing that) also the learning will be stuck to IAM=8 and lastly the OCV current will be static (being a break in the circuit) -- ok another thing that can happen to the AVCS OCV is that one side filter can fall off from the oil banjo and get stuck on the solenoid and fix it to a particular angle this can be seen in the logging as a stuck avcs angle also if one side is stuck at say 25edeg and the other is normal say 0deg at idle, the car will sound like lumpy cams this does not really give of a code as the ecu sees the solenoid sink current etc -- mods: sticky this please credits: the internet paimei brad mechanic

  11. Replace it with another longblock That be the cheapest and quickest But come down to how good ur replacement is I suppose Can source cheap Wrx ones or u on the upper end of the scale towards a v7sti short block .... Options above are If u don\'t Wana spend the $/time rebuilding ur current block in a hurry that is Also goes to what budget u have and how quick u Wana get I back on road as that will decide what path u take
  12. Ok will try peanut butter Hmm what Abt trap Recomend any good ones or the pack and save ones will be fine

  16. Hmm the ra Ecu is no that aggressive so as to get to that AFR on that much boost They must be thinking the same Abt it being plays with Who know what mad scientist did in japan to car pre import
  17. With 211kw@w and the light v3 Chasis it must be rapid to say the least Good quick street car My old v6 had simar mods Nd was on 200kw and felt really really nice on the street U sure it\'s stock Ecu? Open and check cos what if it ready is a link g1 or mines tuned ones Never know I know of a v3 that had similar mods and mines Ecu and did 215kw@w Was similar AFR as ur one The stock ones are usually a lot lower hmmm unless inj were at 100%dc already and running out.....but they should be just Abt max around that boost and not fully run out... Still worth a look at the Ecu man
  18. +1 on that and see what u getting
  19. That is so awsum My mate had similar mods on his v3 Sti and only made like 170kw Think he had 180km but still ur one is super nice on the power side 12.3 is not too lean by yea on hot days cud cause issues if u boost it hard Be better if was lower tho But all in all nice effort man On the stock Ecu the timing migh not be ideal hence they got det Are u planning Ecu change next?
