  1. Guard rolling is one of those things though... throw up some photos. Paint chipping etc is to be expected and most/all won't assume any liability for it however anything further 'should' be covered - good luck with this, depending on the extent of the damage I feel that you're going to have a hard time...
  2. Best part is that my sub doesn't move, even without securing it!
  3. Shudduppppp - I've got something planned which could get me on your current level (however I don't know if I want to be!)
  4. @delta remember that your rear camber will be what it will be cause you won't be able to adjust it.
  5. @delta ahh I believe -0.55° front, -1.25° rear. Funnily enough, I consider mine to be Legacy height
  6. @delta The short answer is no, so long as none of those components are adjustable. However, the lower you go, the more increase in negative camber (as the rear upper control arms aren't adjustable). If you aren't looking to go too low then you may avoid this issue. Keep in mind that the Legacy strut length is approx. 40mm shorter than that of the OB if I remember correctly.
  7. What part of the guard do you plan to cut out? Behind the flare?
  8. Make that 100% - saw you also! Just triggered my memory now. Oooh excellent - let me know if you need a hand with it?! (that's just me trying to get in on the action)
  9. @delta Apologies for the lack of replies - have you ended up getting any answers/insight? @ADIKT Saw you driving down Kohi Road the other day! Was laughing my head of as we both saw each other last minute and snapped our heads side ways! ps. when are your new wheels going to make an appearance? Been awhile since posting in this thread - here are some photos.
  10. First thing to decide - BH or BP? I'm guessing this is price driven...? By the sounds of things I have the OB you want (lucky me) - there were some similar to mine (facelift, 2.5i, 5MT) on trade me a month or so ago. As for the head gasket issues - mine is sitting approx. 170k kms without any major issues. This is definitely something to be judged on a case by case basis though. I would have bought a 3.0R BPE if they came in 6MT fyi.
  11. Where was this little guide when I was doing mine?! I need to do this method also...
  12. The more I think about this (instead of working), I'm struggling to see how you're going to clear the inner fender liner etc... ? Having said this I have seen this width/offset combo done in the states...
  13. You'll definitely have too, -5° rear camber maybe?
  14. Holy S***! I'd be keen to see you fitting them! You are going to require a lot of guard work...
  15. @ADIKT width/offset you're going for?
  16. No mention of nett weight in the owners manual unfortunately...
  17. Couldn't have said it better @A_J_T, the cost would outweigh the benefit. EDIT: ps. I'll have a look in my manual for weights after work.
  18. @stev0 Have never come across Outback specific coilovers in NZ (only seen guys in USA talking about them). They're only ever labeled BL/BP, the way I see it when they're talking about OB specific, they would be referring to the spring rates not the design of the strut. With adjustable damping and ride height my thoughts are that having the exact/correct spring rate wouldn't alter the performance greatly (my opinion/thoughts only - open to discussion).
  19. Had the clutch replaced yesterday! Went for the SMF conversion although my mechanic warned me that the N/A models tend to suffer from gearbox chatter, figured it was worth the gamble with all the positive comments regarding the feel and drivability (plus how bad could said gearbox chatter/NVH be???). Install went off without a hitch and my gamble paid off! No gearbox chatter or additional noise! Having driven it today, I can say that it is far easier to shift resulting in a smoother ride! Really enjoyed driving today because of it. As @knockoutgiant mentioned, it is slightly faster revving which in my opinion is a good thing! All in all, very pleased with the conversion! Thanks for the feedback and advice!
  20. Had mine out last night for cleaning and wiring, as @Andy_Mac said, bolts at all four corners and wiring for seat belt sensor and I would hazard a guess and say airbag as well (judging by the vehicles year).
  21. @willisnz No worries bro, there are some photos earlier in the thread of it on the Bilstein/pink combo.
  22. @willisnz I know about the issue, I specifically asked if if they were out of a wagon, which he said they were... Anyway, they did the job and were much firmer and handled better so I wasn't fussed.
  23. @willisnz Fark knows... Bought them off a guy who said they were factory out of his 3.0R. I had them in my 2.0R previously and that was raking as well.
