  1. Na the light needs to turn on when you switch car onto on, hook the light up to oil pressure light and then they will both light up and both go away lol

  3. front mount is alot of work for not alot of gain Plus you get more lag, if you flip the manifold then lag stays about the same, makes the engine bay look much emptyer which means more thing to fit in ;D top mount works fine until a certain point i beleive also top mount will have heat soak when not moving much etc Front mounts looks better if thats what your in to
  4. What you mean by strong bottom end? whats it got at the mom? most rebluids ive heard of are sti crank and sti/forged rods and ACL bearings? some people say stick with subaru bearings
  5. Sounds like its free boosting? make sure all vacum lines are hooked up right
  6. Its in the oil gallery plug above #3? (cyilnder closest to driver)? with a half meter oil line leading to firewall where sender is mounted but ive unpluged the wire leading to the sender and the gauge still stays at full, i will test another press gauge in there and see what happens
  7. Pretty sure you will have to swap rear top hats and you mite have the rear postive camber and need some camber bolts etc for either sets, the spec C ones should be stiffer
  8. Yea gauge must be F'd again even tho it was brand new

So ive had my oil gauges for ages and couldnt figure out what was wrong with them, turns out oil pressure gauge was stuffed and oil temp sender wasn't getting hot enough. so i got my gauge replaced and have had oil press working for ages been fine, now i had a sump plug drilled and tapped to fit the oil temp sender. i just did a oil change with elf 10w 40 and subaru filter installing the oil temp at the same time, overfilled abit becasue people say to, went for a boost and oil temp never went above 85degrees? but the oil press was working fine when i started but its above 100psi now and wont go below even after turning car off for ages etc Really im just wondering what is normal pressure and temp once car is warm?
  11. What you got controlling the boost? boost tap? EBC? also what ecu you got? the ecu cut would just be boost cut because to much boost? being in 2nd or 3rd mite be because most load comes on in those gears only (maybe) What are you trying to solve here? stopping boost spike or stopping the ecu cut?
  12. a dude off trademe (the guys who bluids the 600hp 15grand long blocks) has a brand new rack for and gc8 for $150 and said he can do the same price for a brand new leggy aswell
  13. ive got 18 by 7.5, rolled guards and they still rub on inner rear guards, i need more camber or smaller tyres tho got 235/40 r18 on there which is huge lol i was picking at you just never seen it done before i rember when it was like mint-17 WOW-18's lol
  14. If the O2 sensor was poked could be saying its running to lean so comp goes into limp mode? ive got no idea but it sounds logical?

But the price of buying a rsk and it blowing up from the old owner thrashing it to much would cost more than a transplant, well you would have to do the transplant anyway, you mite as well go single turbo while your at it You are going to need a turbo engine, like a front cut from a V7 or sim other wise buying it all separate could cost alot block, heads, injectors, turbo exhaust parts, turbo, fuel pump, Ecu to suit engine, mite be best to go link g4
  18. mhm i try engine brake and stay off the picks as much as i can didnt like when my old car brakes over heated and going down hill with no brake
  19. yea next time ill go for motul 5.1 fluid but i want some good cheap break pads i dont mind the cleaning of rims but i dont want the break pads wearing down to fast I dont intend going to track so i really want them and rotors to last as long as possible but with decent braking lol also how long is bedding in and what do you do to bed in? bacisly just not ram your brakes on to hard

  22. ^^lol^^ But with the flipped manifold you car should have around the normal amount of lag, swaping it back would be wayyyyyy to much effort for something thats going to do sweet F all if not make it worst
