    If you have CEL come on due to knock sensor,you can repostion it to top on intercooler,CEL goes away

    Split a top rad hose & nearly overheated the ol gurl. Replacement GATES hose is rubbish,big kink in it,used toyota Landcruiser item! Having heatwrapped headers resulted in spectacular steamshow

    Check & make sure your pedal box is bolted in. This might sound OTT but i went to drive to work bout 6 months ago & the one of the bolts had completely worked loose & dropped out!

    I have fitted WISECO piston that required the squirters to be removed or the pistons modified

    Not quite true,aftermarket forged pistons expamd a LOT more than factory subaru ones. Subaru run .0005 piston to bore clearence from factory Aftermarkets would run .002 minimum

    You can install Sti bit into non Sti block. Mind the squirters if your using a closed deck block.

    Be very careful with any headwork as Subaru notes that only .009 thou max can be skimmed off the heads.

    Grabbed 2 starters while i was at Wrkshp managers,a 12 & a 13. I used the 12 but pretty sure he was going to use it on his Leggie so i will either replace it for him or throw in a set of contact bushes in my old one.

    Hi there,the tiny hydraulic lifters are expensive from Subaru but very cheap when aftermarket. They are the same lifters as the 90s Ford SOHC 12 valve 'FE' engine. I can purchase them from around $15NZ ea
