Hi all,
I have been wanting slightly more punch than my VF30 can pack on my V7 wrx sti. so have been looking at some bolt on options that are reasonably priced, I know how some of you feel around a stock location turbo however I think in my case I am not chasing massive power would just like a bit more punch than 210kw and something that holds power to the higher RPM range.
If you do happen to swap out your vf30, i have a legacy that would be very happy to have it

Sold the daily to buy single turbo bits

Hey Guys,
Can anyone recommend a Mechanic in Rotorua? Clutch is on the way out and wanted to now if anyone had any good dealings with Mechs here.
Cheers Guys & Gals
Birchall and Maunder are good as I think they are a Subaru service agent but they are quite expensive, Autoplus is another good shop to visit, then there’s Gearheads Garage and Ralphs Auto, I personally go to Ralphs, good people and good service -

You always find the cleanest and nicest cars
Keen to see this one.
It’ll definitely be what I’ll be doing the next couple days after work

Came out to my daily today and saw that it had a flat tyre so took the wagon to work, came home and went to swap to the spare and saw this, I’m gonna guess it’s not fixable?

Hi all, I’ve found a cheap BE5 rev d local to me for pretty cheap, under $1k with a blown turbo (doesn’t matter as it’s going ST if I get it anyway) just wondering if there’s any major hassles when manually converting one? It’s currently got a wof and reg till 2019, mainly just wondering how hard it’s going to be to convert it before I jump on it

I’m planning on taking the wagon for one last big trip before she gets stripped in prep for the build I have planned and since it is the season I’m off to Ruapehu. I’ve never driven in icy or snowy conditions before and was wondering if anyone had some tips for doing so? I know it’s not too different from normal driving but it’s still different enough

Threw a check engine light today, got the code read and it's an o2 sensor, I don't understand why the buggers are so expensive... Mechanic reckoned it was $550, I've found a few cheaper ones but nothing under $450, except AliExpress for $50 but don't think I want to go down that route
Try partsouq.com might end up cheaper

I don’t suppose iPhone photos are good enough? But anyway here’s my submission

Heys guys,
I've been thinking of upgrading my Legacy brakes as they are not as sharp as i would like them to be for the weight of my car ( wagon )
Just wondering whats available for upgrades from these that will be better than stock, Not too pricey and not too difficult to install myself.
Cheers
Good pads and fluid will do heaps to help but if you want different calipers (assuming yours are the standard 2 pot fronts) go for 4 pots, they’re cheap enough but can require a cert -
Bought a new one today, a 2000 Nissan Primera, was quite the steal so decided to pull the plug and buy it, will be pulling the wagon off the road to get it ready for surgery, she will be getting a new heart and a facelift, thinking of grafting a Hawkeye or blobeye front onto it, kinda like this:
-
Cleaned vomit off the side of it due to sober driving last night, lesson learned, don’t drive your car when sober driving

Installed boost gauge, surprisingly managed to get it a warrant despite all the buggered bushes, and did the “hose 10 mod”, should’ve done it sooner
-
I teed mine off hose 11 if I remember correctly. Then mounted on right hand side of dash out of the way
Which one is hose 11? Haven’t done much with the vacuum lines before haha -
So I’ve recently picked up an electronic boost gauge from Savage Performance and am wanting to know which vacuum line to tee into to get it to work, ideally I’d like to get it all working before I do the hose 10 and hose 1 mod but if it’s easiest should I just run it through the hose 10 tee? Also where have people mounted their gauge? Can’t decide where to mount mine

That's a really good price indeed!
Ooor .. other solution ... you need 2 cars : one with leather seats for traffic jam and a backroad/track car without
Was planning on finding a rev d b4 for that exact reason

Yeah that's the annoying thing with leather seats, I would like leather seats but I'm pretty sure I would regret my choice because of that if I get them
They were only $50 so I thought why not try them, think I’ll give them another week then maybe swap them back

Swapped over to the leather front seats for comfort but now can’t have fun in the twisties so might chuck the wrx seats back in, do like the comfort though
-
Went up to Auckland today to buy some leather seats and a facelift BH front bumper and lip for quite the steal, saw @Subirex Automotive while there for a service and couldn't be happier with the service he gives
if anyone wants to purchase the old V7 WRX seats lemme know

Picked up some bigger 4 inch fog lights to fit to the wagon, going to be hard making them fit nicely since the original ones are 2 inch I think
