haha indeed it shall be! there's also a Link G4+ Storm hiding under that ethanol content sensor, but you've probably figured that out by all the link stuff anyway
Hehe, that and I recognised the purple box below it!

Oooh, now that'll be fun!

All good, I learnt a heck of a lot playing with that car and also got addicted to the boost It's hard not to want to drive it!
In this case, with the TD05 being a bigger turbo, the Z4 calls for more boost, and sooner. Giving it the additional fuel that is needed with that.
So with the VF8 it may run quite rich, and just not as smooth as you'd expect.I'll organise the stock ECU to be shipped up early next week
-
You'll be best to run the original ECU (I'm yet to post this) as the Z4 runs a different boost map and fuel map, so it'll run, just not as well as it does now.

Shall put an order through this week at some point

Yup, oil pressure sensor. Had one on my RA (now @SpeedySub's, you should see it under the alternator)
It's definitely after-market, and most likely for a Oil pressure gauge that would have once been in there.

Yeah the Autox/Gymkana should be fine without the license or extinguisher. Great fun as well!

Yeah just go along and have a chat/enter an event or two.
For club basic events, I believe you can do two events without a membership, so autoXs etc, enter a couple, see if you enjoy it then decide if you want to put money into it.
If you're wanting to enter club advanced events, I believe that's when you'll need a Motorsports license and a fire extinguisher.
But one step at a time
motorsports license requires you to be a club member already, so take that step first obviously.
If you're wanting to go down that route, there's tonnes of information on the motorsports NZ website, and you can create an account here to record your club membership and/or apply for the licenses, it also lists upcoming events etc, also has a load of resources that are quite helpful.
-
Personally, go along to each of their events and see what you prefer.
Once you've joined an MSNZ club, you can go to any other club's events, but just can't get points in their seasons without being a member, (unless it's an inter-club event).
So find a club with the most events you'd enter and joint there first. Then if you enjoy another one as well, get a membership to both.Personally I'm a member of Otago Sports Car Club, but considering joining Eastern Southland as well.

Yeah there were 57 cars I believe in the end.
Results here:

A couple of videos one of the guys caught of the track/cars:

91 BC5 RS
I get 400km from a full tank of 98octane on the open road. city driving is about 360
For speeds of 50km/h definately cruize in 4th I sometimes cruize in 5th at 50km/h if its a relatively flat long road
As for high revs try taking your Idle controll valve completely off, (unit is just slightly right of the throttle body facing up whitish colour - not the black one (mark its position with a marker pen or something before hand)
then put some crc on the bearing and turn the post thing back and forth heaps if it feels abit grabby
Then re install to where it originally was or see if you can get some adjustment in the idle from it use it. that controll valve changes the idle of the car so when its cold it runs the idle abit higher then adjusts it to go lower when the cars warmed up
Same here on my old BC5 RA, around 360ish KM to a full tank around town. and nearer 400 on the open road.

Was awesome dealing with you too @SpeedySub Very sad to see the car go though
Although it did sound awesome going down the street, the first time I've heard someone else drive it from the outside haha.

Yeah I love getting people into this, it's so much fun, and I've found it stops people fooling around on open roads a bit which is always good

Have thrown it into the calendar.
May add a few more later on, mostly Hill climbs announced at the moment, but should be a fair few Autocrosses this summer

Pretty much the exact same as the Otago ones, one open track on the grass, and 2 cars on at a time, but the second one isn't released until the first is half way through the track, so you never see each other.
Great fun, and yeah perfect for learning car control.

Thought I'd share this awesome autocross that's on this weekend, in case anybody hasn't seen it and may want to come.
$25 per person or $15 for under 18.
Road tyres only
Some cheap fun if you're free and in the area!

I believe they rebuilt the turbo in my RA, and so far that's running without issue, so one can assume they do decent work, haha.

Looks like a helmet many people in my club use, I'd say it'd be fine for clubsport.
On that note, I purchased my new helmet from Palmside a few weeks back, Great guys to deal with
