Yes if you turn the left control thingy then it should activate the rear wiper and if you turn it further it should spray. It shouldnt matter what way you turn it. Unless the v7 sti has a different control arm thingy to the early models.. Just go have a play with it. You should be competent enough to figure it out. Chur
Thats what i origanly thought the 'mist pull' was for... Go and try the button. I bet it will work. The mist pull is if your cruising along and you get a light mist of water on your windscreen and you only want the wipers to do one full clean or whatever..
Mines a button on the end of the left control arm thingy... to do the back you have to turn it right round... Mind you thats in my coupe... Not sure if its differant in a v7 sti
Go to repco or similar and get a bulb for the lights. Cheap. If its not the bulb then you can keep it as a spare anyway. But thats the first thing id be looking at.
For the window sprayers id pull the tubing off the actual nozel and test to see if water comes out. Sometimes the nozels block up. If no water still id check the pump. If it is the pump then theyr easy and cheap to find i believe. Good luck
I know its not a subaru... But my 1990 mazda capella has done 294,000ks on original engine.. Finally fucked out last week. Time for a new run about i think
I believe that is the reason... Someone said something about engine fluids aswell and having to 'louver' the outlet or something so no engine fluid could escape and cover the windscreen but then that would screw the airflow up big time and it would be pointless? I cant find the other thread its in..
I plan on doing it as soon as i find a decent scoop on trademe.. Ill put up a wtd section here too.
I can see where your coming from... I cant see it being too much of a problem.. I guess its just a risk you can take your chances on.. And hope nothing craps out..
Even with a standard scoop driving in the rain... alot of water is going to go in the scoop and into the engine bay... so i cant see much differance... But that scoop looks sick!
Like i said above... it was just an idea lol... Im going to chop up a v4 or similar scoop and see what heppens... Hopefully its as easy as funky says..
Interesting. Thank you very much for your input. Im going to track down a spare scoop and give it a go... I shall take photos and all that to show people what to do... Thats even if i get that far : lol
