save harder bro
long term will be worth it.
Resale value will stay higher with STi than with WRX so win-win

Perhaps stop trying to diagnose over the intermanet and take car to reputable Subaru garage to be fixxored?

Im no stranger to EJ20s,
You know compression, and so do I
A full re-builds what Im thinking of,
You wouldnt get this from any other guy,
I just wants to tell you the compression,
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
We've known each other for so long
Your big ends going but your too shy to say it
Inside we both know whats been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how Im feeling
Funky dont tell me your too blind to see????
Insert Chorus, gay dance, 80s chicks etc etc

Confirmed from where?
and why then the issues Gazzy was having (and the modifying community) seemed to have with Single turboing his BH with the sti ecu of the same generation?
Surely that then also doesnt imply that the heads are identical - or were you meaning strictly with reference to their compression.
slightly off topic but relevant..
*not that i dont believe you (yet), but it doesn't quite sit right with me as i understand things.
Im of the understanding that Rev D BHs have higher compression ratio also hence det issues.
OP: for the sort of prices being bandied around you could get in a full v7 sti engine with link close enough!

"Car into the gas outlet device modification.Car speed after 4,000, 5,000, 6,000 turn, the original configuration can not keep up the inlet and outlet. Modified to ensure that the compressed air is cleaner, good on gas equipment"
???
Id be scared if I bought that car that it would turn into a deceptikon and kill me!

Here is me prior to "de-powering" my power steering:

they do make good iphone4s and ipads lol
/quote]
those are actually made in korea by samsung lol..
Er no they arent.
Some components are but the iphones and ipads are pieced together in Shenzhen, Southern China.
Chinese manufacturing - very much rocks n diamonds. If its from a big reputable company with quality product standardisation and testing then yes im for it, if its not then id avoid.

I looked at an avensis before got GTB.
DEcent car for the moolah.
Mazda 6s drive pretty decent, sporty but not that powerful. Lots of room

Replace EJ20 with EZ30R and you might have a show at response AND power
-
you have bank account details I assume?
My suggested course of action:
1. Print out trademe records / email discussions stating what you were doing.
2. Print out transactions showing money changing hands.
3. Get verification of what you received from a reliable source ie subaru garage etc.
4. Go to cops.
Continuously asking for details here wont help but you need to get moving with something tangible.

My girlfriend is having trouble with 'Stadium Cars' here in Christchurch, has anyone on here had any experience with them?
Long, long story but basically she bought a 2002 Impreza IS Sport hatch in early January, to start with they didn't fulfill the tasks they stated in the 'promise sheet' i.e. fit band expander, fix stone chips and repair curbing to the rims, none of this was done.
Anyway, get the car home, after a few days we notice how the car 'surges' when you after lifting off the throttle then applying throttle again, also terrible fuel economy, yet to get 400km to a full tank, tried 91, 95, 98 no difference.
We took it back to stadium cars, they did a trans flush, replaced o2 sensor. No difference
Took it back again, not sure what they did this time (won't give us any receipts). No difference.
My girlfriend called them again, they accused her of being too picky and "should be thankful she's not in the red zone" (this is emotional black mail, has nothing to do with her car, and little do they know, but she actually lost her house in burwood to the redzone..) After all this I went down there with her and made it really clear that we are finding their service completely un acceptable and that this was their last chance to fix the car, we have really had enough.
This was met with every excuse under the sun, and when I brang up anything to do with the faults with the car they said "we aren't mechanics"... well neither am I
So we left the car with them yet again, they've had it for two and a half weeks, got it back today. They said to her "we've had to spend a lot of money on this car, trying to guilt trip her. she replied with "i spent alot of money on this car" No idea what they have actually done to it. So they've been 'road testing it' (trip meter was at 380km and fuel light on so obviously fuel still no better) and it is STILL surging!
Whats worse is it is under a autosure 6 month mechanical warranty so I don't know why they are being so difficult...
We have absolutely had enough now, she just wants her money back now, they have had enough time to fix it now it's getting out of hand
Has anyone got any advice? surely this is grounds for the consumer guarantees act to come into play?

Hi looks like I'm having similar problems with stadium cars. I purchased a 250t b spec automatic , drove great during test drive etc, drove great to akaroa, next day in akaroa had to use demister to clear windows in morning, temp shot up coolant came spraying back out of overflow so refrained from using heater and got back to christchurch ok. to car back to stadium cars
told the what happened, was happy they didnt qibble about what to do, they said would get it looked at (suspected blockage). Took a few days to here back from them, I had to call to find out what was happening, turns out head gasket had blown and they decided best option was to replace the motor with one their repairer was sourcing that had less ks on it and the cam belt was going to be done too, I was pretty happy to here this. got car back seemed all good, then car started to lag when shift in 1st and 2nd, check engine light was coming on intermittently and only getting approx 200k on half a tank of gas. Took it back again described problems, cel comes on when there is sensor probs they told me, would get it sorted for me. Got car back sensor/cel problem fixed, repairer apparently roadtested car over weekend and found no issues liked I had with laggy shifting. Now car is a real pig it has no power when accelerating I know its now a turbo but when I first got it I didnt have to put my foot down hard to get up to 50, now its like theres something limiting acceleration, maybe another sensor, I dont know think I'll get it looked at indecently before I take it back again.
Why am I not surprised? They do seem to like this "staff road test over the weekend, give your car back with no petrol thing" They are so unprofessional it's shocking.
The latest with our case is they offered to swap the car with another car off the yard of the same value, thing is that the new emissions law is in place since we bought the car , so now all the cars are newer and more than the $9000 we are limited to. They still won't give a refund, and claim we aren't entitled to one. When we brang up the CGA the director of stadium cars said "don't poke the law at me"
Arrogant prick
It looks like you have exhausted all negotiating tactics.
Time to bring in the big guns.
Suggested course of action:
1. Have your lawyer write a strongly worded letter threatening small claims court due to non-compliance with CGA etc etc etc
2. Contact Fair Go and let Stadium Cars know they will be on TV shortly.

no insurance on yard stock?

Two had turbo timers.
My BH legacy does not although when I drive it hard I am not so foolish as to jump right out without letting it idle and cool down for a bit.
-
I have owned 3 turbo subarus one WRX one Forester and now the BH twin turbo.
I have maintained each religiously and all i have had to replace is consumables.
Driven all hard regularly, WRX from around 75000kms-145000kms, Forester from 60,000kms to 110000kms and now the Legacy from 150 000 kms to ???????.
Perhaps I have been lucky but personally I believe if you buy wisely and do your due dilligence and service well you will have the best driving, best bang for buck car there is in a turbo subaru.

lets put out the call.
Message all members for contact details/address for Wrxman.
Surely others have bought stuff of this turd burgler before and have details.

had nothing to do with me building a gf8, so walk on son.
i laugh at the general racecar = gc8, an i put some /sarcasm in the post to denote not seriousness and general humor. but read what you want.
LOL sure it had nothing to do with your GF8.
I applaud you for going against the grain, but like I said there is no need to get defensive as ultimately your times on track will defend your position like nothing else can.
Your life do as you please, just dont get so sensitive and serial!
