Thanks for the feedback all! I think I’ll look for “whiter” bulbs I think. Although I did stupidly order the LEDs so I might play around with them over the weekend too. I have my WOF due in a few months and so it might pay to do so afterwards. Thanks for move too Andy!

My mistake I posted from my phone so this was for the Legacy/forrestor sub. I just want want to swap out the standard fog lights in my 07 Legacy gtb as they are a dull colour and aren’t very visible. I thibk H11’s May fit them but wanted to confirm before purchasing. Does anyone know how easy this is to do and where the best place to purchase LEDs to do the install? Ive recently ordered some T10 Xenons 5SMDs for the interior/rear/door lights but I assume the fog replacements will be bigger? Thanks team

Thanks! The Elm was only $25 and I had the iPad lying around with dashcommand installed so I’ll maybe wait as it’s not a necessity at this stage. i also have friends coming over from the states later in the year so maybe I can get them to bring one over for me

@Andy_Mac I have the Elm327 and Dashcommand running, however it isn’t giving me any live information. After doing some reading around is it that Elm327 is only OBDii and I need an adapter that support SSM? If so which adapter in NZ supports this? So much head scratching lately!!!!

I imagine i can have the resonator delete fabricated locally so that could be done prior to tuning too. @IZichard any pictures of your wagon so I know what to look out for? I’m up in the air about 98/95, 98 would be better (I guess) but then it means spending an extra $10/15 on top of the 98 price just to fill her up.....is the gain worth it? Just donated $20 to the site now, stoked already with all the help I’ve received.

Just out of curiosity, if you were in my position and you had a subtech downpipe ready to be installed and just had your breaks re-done and had $1000 prior to tuning to spare, what would you spend it on in terms of bang for buck gains? and where would the buy them from? I see theres a conpatible GS 3 port on TradeMe but like you said it’s a fair bit more for plug and play at $215 More than happy to donate to the site for your time and advice too Andy 🙂

Everything seems so hard to find in NZ as most websites that come up are AU/US. The tuning shop has kindly offered to install and tune any mods at the same time as the remap/dyno (for a price of course haha) so I would like to have everything with me on the date of arriving there as it’s a 8hour round trip there...South Island life 😑🤙🏻 Haha.

Hi guys! I have the 5S Auto model and wonder d if anyone could help or point me in the right direction. Im wanting to get a little more power out of my car. I have the sub tech decat down pipe (to be installed) and the sti dual tip mufflers. I’m booked in for an ecu map and dyno tune at the end of next month and wondered if there is any point trying to find a replacement for the middle of the exhaust piping in terms of power gains? It’s also my understanding that the up pipes are catless in these cars too? Also, are there any other mods I can do to increase performance in line with the tuning? I’m just trying to get my moneys worth out of my tune. i don’t mind spending a bit of extra money either, I’m just struggling to find extra information of where I can actually buy any of these items in NZ too?? 😔 Thanks!!

I was going to have a look at the Tactrix cable / Cryotune route but wasn't too sure about the prices involved with buying the cable and the tune itself? Would you happen to know of any other resources in terms of performance gains with autos? I'm a little skeptical about the effects on the ecu with just buying forced air induction kits etc as I've strictly only driven manuals....NZ seems to be a hotbed for autos but I guess that stems from being so close to Japan etc. thansk again for your responce too! I'll try and read around Rapid Performance in Timaru too and send them a message and see what they offer in terms of ecu tweaks! Dean.

Hey team, I've recently signed up to the forums for some tuning advice. I currently own an Auto 07 Legacy GTB and I'm struggling to find information about or a garage within the Otago/Southland that can do an ECU remap to gain a little extra power/smoother gear changes. A friend of mine has the 6 speed manual and it pains me to not feel the throw back into your seat experience I get from his (even when I use "sports sharp") Currently based in Wanaka but I'm happy to go to Dunedin etc if need be. Cheers!
