The crimper is only $99. A lot for a one off job, but it's always good to have the right tools on hand. I would be tempted to use a hammer.

Why do you only think it's at macbilt?

Personally I wouldn't drive hard on mobil 98 if tuned for bp 98 or vice versa.

So with your foot fully on the clutch pedal, the motor is still engaged?

They have an NZ shop as well... NZ prices cheaper than AU prices, which is weird. Looks a bit too cheap to be any good or actually made in AU.
For example: https://hakon.com.au/collections/impreza-wrx-gc-1993-2001/products/adjustable-rear-arm-set-subaru

Have you tried them out or have they not arrived yet? Kinda wanna replace mine with something else. Been toying between them or SAS one's but a bit concerned they’ll be too stiff.
Not turned up yet... the Russian Postal Service is not fast. I'm a bit concerned that the KEIN mounts will be too soft, but I can always relpace
the bushes. Do you know what rating the SAS mounts have? KEIN use 65A shore rubber.

Ordered cusco engine and trans mounts from RHDjapan..
Thanks for the tip Loren..
Haha, I ordered the KEIN mounts, thanks to @Andy_Mac, then found the Cusco mounts on special for only $4 more! Cusco would have been the safer option,
but KEIN have custom colours, so my engine and gearbox mounts are going to match my roll cage. Winner.

Bought myself a few cordless power tools. Should make working on the car a heck of a lot easier in future.
I love my Ryobi 18v Impact Driver and Angle Grinder. Also have the large buffer and a drill. Got my eye on the tyre inflator.

What are those eyes on the left for?
Just for strapping stuff down, mainly a spare wheel and jack etc, since there is no wheel well. There is one roughly in each corner...
haven't tried using them yet.

Not much more to add to be honest... could be the MAF, fuel pump or filter... maybe check all the plugs and leads as well.

Good for engines and hair loss.

I was going to put some in my car, but found some genuine Snake Oil for a few bucks less.
P.S. Apologies for the predictable comment.

There are loads of events at loads of tracks all the time... where are you looking exactly?

Yeah but....Crappy road tyres take the gloss of a track day when they turn to chewing gum after 3 or 4 laps..
You end up understeering and the oversteering all over the place..
If you value your car and your life the best option is a set of rims with road tyres and and a set of rims with the stickiest tyres you can afford..
Change the wheels when you get to the track..
That will happen with a too sticky tire as well... for 03g a hard compound is needed... mediums will turn to butter in 3 hot laps and leave vast amounts of rubber spaghetti all over the track and the inside of the rims and up in the wheel wells

I should of worded that differently I have had so many conflicting opinions, the tyre shop i was talking to gave me a quote on RE003's for $1,147.00 fitted. he said that the PS4 performed like a full street tyre compared to the RE003 (this was bridgestone that said this)
I then spoke with Beaurepaires and they told me that the PS4 was the best street performance tyre out at the moment and they can do them for $1,211.00 fitted. They said that the PS4 was a whole lot better than the RE003.
So I am more confused as to what one to go for, I do want a tyre I can drive on the street and the track. more referring to them as a street tyre compared to a full semi slick.
Talk to Neil at Neil's Wheels for a most likely better opinion.

The RE003 is also a street tyre... I thought you wanted a street tyre that will be ok for a track day as well? If you want an actual race tyre... just get some Dunlop 03Gs and be done.
