I am pretty sure that I need to change some bushes but I don’t know what they are called It’s under the plate/ bolt that is circled. Also do people know if I can get aftermarket bushes and/or how much they cost? Thanks

I did this recently, I put my ratchet in the hole put a car jack under it and jacked away able to apply 1500Nm of torque by using the weight of the car against it. Just make sure that you don’t lift the car off the jack stands!

How do you test if your TPS is working right, as I thing mine is playing up.

I have instilled an EBC in my wrx and want to turn the boost up (maybe 1 Bar), but check that it is not going to run out of fuel and the tune is ok. How much would this cost?

Didn’t someone crash doing a top speed run a while back (in NZ), about early to mid 90s I think. So they became unpopular after then. 1000m sprints could be fun though ;D

Its really big muffler so could not go any further back, it will do for now. Might try to change the tip later on

Just had a Fujitsubu muffler fitted, very happy. Quiet when driving around normally and sounds great when I put my foot down, and a bit more power vs the old muffler with the silencer. Only problem is it sticks out a bit Well i dont think it will leave drity maks on my bumper ;D

I want to change the rear muffler on my WRX, it currently has a cannon and I had purchased a Fujitsubu muffler. It requires a couple of mounts and a little bit of pipe work, as the exit of the muffler will sit a little bit higher. Pit stop in Porirua quoted me $164, which seems a little high. So do you think that that price is right, or do you know a good place that would be cheaper, preferably around Tawa/Porirua, but will travel further if the price is good.

i have a 98 wrx with a ra gearbox, and get about 440-480 (11-12l/100k) aroung town and have a best of 580 (9l/100km) on the open road, those numbers are on 98. My old v6 auto holden commodore also managed to get 9l/100km, which i found very impressive, but hay it literally dose half the rpm ant 100km/h (damp close ratio gearbox!)

120 hours you have got to be kidding me, when i got my licence it cost about $50 an hour, and that was 8 years ago. That would make it $6k so we would just end up with a large number of kids driving with no licence and no plans to get one. By the way Joker, since the 70's the road toll has halved and the amount of distance traveled has doubled As for power restriction, i think we should take a hint from the rally world, 32mm restricter. You are using a vf38 that’s a twin scroll turbo of a leggy right? If so that is a very small turbo, and could be leading to low top end power. A change to a vf36/7 or I think that you can get the front compressor wheel changed, should lead to a greater dyno number Well that’s my two cents worth at least

I have a 3” exhaust on my wrx, but it is way too loud, unless the highly restrictive silencer is used. There is one small, and one large resonator leading to a straight through cannon exhaust. I am thinking that I will need to change the rear muffler, to something like a flowmaster style. So that do people think, will this make it quiet? Anything else to try?

I used to work for a petrol station; people will run 91 in anything, STI's EVO's brand new xr6 turbos. At least a 2 to 1 ratio of turbo leggies running 91 over 95 (and people wonder why the engines are not the most reliable ). Funny you should mention a 98 sticker in your 86 Honda city, the Honda fitted stickers say 97 octane so it’s not to incorrect, never saw anyone obey it though!

Any tricky bits when doing the swap? or just align and bolt up?

Is it possible to swap a dccd center diff into a non dccd gearbox? As i have a dccd gearbox in my car at the moment, but im not a fan of the close ratio. So i would like to buy a normal ratio gearbox and put my center diff into it. Its a TY752 gearbox, if i can would i be able to put it into a TY754 series gearbox? Thanks
