  1. i have tapped it at another area but will be doing my oil pressure soon so i will take your advice! do you happen to know if the fuse box can handle at least 2 gauges? thanks :-) I dont think it would be a problem mate (someone correct me if im wrong) as long as its one gauge per fuse tap
  2. Im really keen to try replicate this Anyone know where you can get these type headlights in NZ? think these were genuine prodrive ones, but hoping theres a aftermarket company that do them.
  3. No sure if you have already done this or not, but I installed mine from the fuse box. Its really easy and I\'ve never mucked around with car wiring before. Once you work out with a test light what fuses your going tap (contant12v, ACC12v, dimmer etc) write down the amp number you need and head down to Jaycar and buy their fuses taps. Makes things super easy and a tidy install. Heres the link below http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=SF5120&keywords=fuse+tap&form=KEYWORD cheers
  4. Haha hard case ! Yea that\'s the one, done over 200k now still runs great! Amazing what a full service history can do! Bought new at wingers auckland I\'m told, so is it your old one or like you old one? I\'m the second owner
  5. Yea mate paint it factory, I\'ve seen one on a UK forum, it\'s got a metallic through it so changes a bit in the direct light. cheers
  6. Started life as a high mileage NZDM WRX and all it took was a new set of 18"wheels and some Tein coilovers to kick it all off ! now its getting performance side dealt with tomorrow with a VF30 swop etc etc! should be a bit more lively after that! The Green used to bug me, but haven\'t any other ones floating around yet (might be a reason for that haha )
  7. Cheers, and I know this does belong here but does the clock console really need a heap of force to get out !! mine seems like its welded in there, and is about to snap!
  8. Hey Guys, going to have a go at installing a Prosport Evo boost gauge this weekend. I lengthened (soldered) the boost sender unit wires as they were real short and I want to mount it in the cabin instead of the engine bay. I gone and got some wire splices as im going to tap in the clock wires. Just wondering if I can just tap into the same constant and earth wire Im going to use for the gauge itself? Cheers Gauge http://prosportgauges.com/evo-series-Red-and-Blue.aspx
  9. cheers for all the info ! i had a good yarn with a guy of this forum tonight so learnt heaps today! decided im most likely gonna start with the ARC intercooler, 3" downpipe with coni freeflow mid pipe going into the stock muffler for now, I know that will keep it pretty tame and quiet, but Im gonna be on the look out for a vf30 (if thats the right one?). Gonna have a crack at bolting it all together this weekend haha ! Can anyone recommend someone in Auckland or on the North shore that can be a tune or do a ECU flash etc? Again cheers for all the suggestions! what a mean forum!
  10. Hey mate, not sure if you are getting my PM, but keen as to grab some parts. Cheers
  11. I see you have a ARC top mount for sale, It that as big as the v7 STI? does it have the Y Section thing?
  12. Yea mate, on the Northshore, who do you recommend over there, as I\'ve also got to get my right side rocker cover gasket done. Cheers
