pins on the plug in are internally linked, i have full set of the schematics for it. have been linked from the HDR1 board to the CON1 board.
Just running from what link engineer has stated, im pretty sure i trust him

im almost doing the same thing atm with putting a v7sti engine into v4sti. wiring is your only issue, really depends on budget with this as v7 up engines run avcs so either need to use a aftermarket ecu that can run AVCS or reloom the car with V8 loom which could be quite hard to come buy.
very common problem, i ended up replacing unit twice in my BH when i had it, there is a seller or used to be a seller than recond the units as part of a trade
