  1. Yep yous have a classic... Heck even my GTB is now nudging 10 years... PS after doing all that other stuff, I still vote for the split fuel rail Ray!!!!!! ;D wanna come over and do it for me?
  2. what do you mean by "classic"
  3. im going to try those soulitions, but ive just been tlaking o my builder and hes got me wondering if i have the correct ECU in the car... its only runs 15psi... so im not sure...
  4. uhhhuh, and assuming mines buggered what difference should i notice? i mean my car runs fine now around town... so do i borrow one for the next trackday or....?
  5. ok.... so i have egg on my face..... :-X just had another look at the wheels... turns out there was a blot in the left rear tyre... not just any bolt though... this is a big MOFO!!! had to get a 12mm socket to unscrew it... it was really deep... im suprissed the tyre isnt flat... will have to go get it checked soon... so all is well, thanks for your help people!!! ive never seen a bolt that big before, musit have been a total flyke it ended up stuck in my tyre... explains the squirmyness and the "wamp wamp wamp"
  6. cool. how do i check the AFM? im assuming chucking a walbro 500hp pump is overkill? what else in the fuel supply can i check?
  7. I've just had a crawl under the car and I cant see any thing obviously wrong... Theres what looks to be a bit of oil stainage on the right hand side of the rear diff, but looks like thats been there for a while... Does anyone have any processes I can try, to determan what could be the issue?
  8. everything is stil factory...
  9. posting here as im not sure what else it could be... i pulled away from the lights last night on the way home, nothing stupid, just driving nicely. got to about 2500rpm and felt a "thud" then a "wamp wamp wamp" thought it was a flat tyre (ive never accually had one so its what i assumed a flat tyre would feel like) got out n checked all wheels, all still inflated, kicked all wheels, all still attached properly... so anyone got any ideas what this could be? in the end i got the car put on a transporter and taken home... THANKS STATE INSURENCE!!! I was wondering if a tooth broke in the diff would this happen? the back end of the car felt slightly squirmy, and the slower you go the quieter the noise is... eg if your at walking pase you cant hear it at all, and when your in the car its more of a physical jult than a sound...
  10. they are new... what ever is factory genuine subaru for a V5 sti
  11. lol. obviously not gimpo. ring them up and ask. you can use a phone right? how about a phone book? try the local aero club first. http://www.flighttraining.co.nz im from the south, we dont have phones down here... to damn expencive... all our money goes into generating power to send up north and fixing northeners roads...
  12. my builder said it was possibly det because of the buggered piston, this is the first time since the rebuild I've been on the track and because I dont know what im listening for its hard to know when it is fixed or not...
  13. huh... yeah? do i just rock up to the check in counter and ask for a tank of gas and a moro bar? oh and while theyre at it can they wash the window and check the oil n water?
