  1. I know this was posted up a very long time ago, but I have had to search forums and refer this onto several EVO and WRX owners. Perhaps sticky?
  2. Hey bro, how much did you score one of these for?
  3. Is the lag between a top mount and a front mount rather significant?
  4. Will these work? http://www.dse.co.nz/dse.shop/49ee85fc016be7262744c0a87f3b071e/Product/View/Z3229
  5. Can we please have a diagram? Cheers
  6. My turbo timer de-activates with the handbrake being disengaged. Chances are, that when someone attempts to steal my car, they'll need to put the handbrake down.. Handbrake down - Turbo timer switches off - car switches off - car steal fail. Would be nice if you can post up the diagram bro! [quote name='spark_38 said: What sort of alarm is it? Dynatron ones use a replacement turbo override chip over the normal one, easy to replace and about $5 (at dealer price) or so to obtain one. Two choices of chip are generally avail. one to allow an aftermarket turbo timer (my preferred method) or another with a built in (usually 1 min) turbo timer. I'm sure other makes/models (AVS, mongoose, etc..) have similar avail It's a Uniden VS2600 if it helps lol
  7. Is there any way of tricking the alarm system into thinking the car is off when it actually is on from the turbo timer? Coz I can't seem to lock my car with the remote without having the turbo timer counted down. Have tried to use a diode, but it doesn't work I don't know what I'm doing. I know you can utilise a relay into this, but I can't think of anything! Help?
  8. True true.. Like Pitstop?
  9. Where can I find some 2 hole 3" flanges? Look on tardme but theres nothing on there.
  10. Follow the wire from the siren and go backwards from there; check everywhere. See if it's melted on anything or caught on anything. Otherwise send it back, Uniden alarms have a 1 year warranty if you put it in yourself or 5 years if NZSA installed.
  11. Have at least 1.5 litres left of it. It is 75w80, will it be alright to use to replace diff oil with it? Cheers

    B4 RSK

Yep it's a normal Subaru trait. My MY00 B4 RSK does the same. So does mate's MY97 WRX.
  13. Found that running Apexi Panel Filter with resonator removed + aluminium ducting to below bumper works well. Can really hear turbo spool and deep intake note.
  14. Hahahah Hmmm, a better way to describe it is say you go up a hill going about 40km/h in 4th gear in a 1.6l with 91 petrol? That distinct knocking sound? ..not saying that I do that :-\
  15. If I was to vent internal wastegate, would I get the external wastegate sound? ;D ;D
  16. How about with engine mounts? Would I be able to just drop in a V5-6 without having to change mounts, etc etc? I'd just need V5-6 loom, ecu and engine right?
  17. Heya guys. My B4 Legacy is making a whine under load. It only lasts for maybe 2-3 seconds? E.G First gear I'll rev to maybe 3000rpm, then I'll change gear and it'll start whining for 2-3 seconds and stop. It appears to make the sound when the car is below <3000rpm. Have put it up on a mates hoist and noticed a torn inner CV boot. Wondering if that has anything to do with it?
  18. Heya guys. I am running standard exhaust atm with a axle back 4" muffler (not cannon style). If I was to make a custom exhaust with flanges - 2.5" from primary with divorced wastegate, "plumbed back" and 3" from secondary turbo merged to a Y pipe, and then 2.5" to the back with a cannon style muffler. How would this run compared to my standard exhaust? Would boost come on earlier or anything? Cheers.
  19. You sent the diagram to me and yup it works! and yup the alarm is in
