I've been keen on a Zero Sports Sequential Controller for a long long time just haven't had any money for months. If anyone has work going in chch let me know, After part time stuff cause I'm at Polytech 3 days a week.

Hi Guys, Does anyone know of any DIY upgrades that can be done to the TT system to help performance / air flow. Preferably inexpensive ones as I have no money. Was thinking about upgrading the hoses from the turbos to the intercooler. Anyone done this or heard of it being done / any changes ?

What's the estimated life on these primary's, Mines done just over 210k so far.

I'll be interested to see what it is thats causing this cause I've been having the same issues in mine since I had a cracked radiator and ran out of water. ( very hot engine, wasn't happy ) I think it was a leaking hose but it was going through around 300ml of water a day. Still uses a bit of water now, and you can smell the coolant most of the time too.

I've been told the same thing bout the primary's, Haven't done anything with my exhaust yet cause I'm still looking for the best option.

I had to get mine done when I got it, Even with dad being a mechanic it was easier / more cost effective to just get it done by a subaru workshop.

You can get these cables that your after on trademe for cheap. I can't remember what they are called but I'll try track down a link. Cost me $25 for one for my kenwood unit and never looked back.

Yeah have checked all of that, Going to test a couple of headunits see if they do the same thing. The old amp was able to handle heaps of gain and since there was only a sub on it there wasn't any noise coming through.

Hey team. Just put a new amp on my sub as my last one had a row of moffets die. Get what I pay for I guess, Only problem being is that there is next to no volume coming out of the headunit via the RCA feeds. Even with the gain set to full and the crossover open fully on the amp there's till not as much volume as you would expect on the sub. If I plug my ipod directly into the amp it goes like you expect it would. Any idea how to crank this up a bit to get a bit more input to the amp ? I tried chucking a pair of headphones on the feed to see how much signal comes through by default and there's basically nothing at all. Jimmy up a feed of the left and right speakers and feed it into the " High input " ?

I've got a cartridge and a stacker that I no longer use as I now have a aux connection for my kenwood headunit and just use my iPod. If the stacker works with your head unit I could flick the cartridge to you for cheeps if you want au.

I use to use valvoline 10w40 but then had a friend that can wholesale me shell oil for half the price. I found that the valvoline seemed to disappear after awhile and I had to keep topping it up. Shell stuff is better tho, Doesn't need to be topped up much. Also any idea why mine goes black so quickly ?

I had a similar problem on my B4, Even tho its turbo it still use to lag heaps then surge massively at the 2500 ish mark, Replaced the Airflow meter and made heaps of difference.

Also look into oxy sensor, Mine is faulty and currently unplugged cause I can't afford a new one yet. Had all sorts of issues when it was playing up, Car wouldn't excellerate when I put my foot flat down and would shake etc etc. But normally mine on the primary when its cold feels like its running another 4psi or so, Guess just since turbo and intercooler and cold and not as much heat soak on the air.

I've got a small leak on mine somewhere that I'm yet to find, I tend to over fill my overflow tank all the time, Normally about 90% to the top so that there is room for the water to heat up etc. I haven't noticed any issues with it being over the max mark yet.

I've also been wanting leather for mine for ages now. There was a guy on trademe I knew of that was selling a full set and door cards too for about $500.

We did it to a friends impreza before he sold it and there was a fair bit of smoke coming out of it lol. When I did it to mine didn't have any smoke that I could see, Prob cause I take it on the open road as much as poss and keep it hawtt. Also Re via the air intake, So could I just run it and spray some in there and maybe clean the turbos / intake pipes up a bit ?

I haven't got a gauge on mine cause I'm to poor, But from what I have read its around 8psi on pri and 10 on sec.

You can also get these cables on trademe for around $20. Changed my life buying one.

My B4 wont normally hit the second turbo till around 5k, also with the soapy water, I've been told to use brake cleaner for it too apparently works well. If your not getting the CEL to come on I wouldn't think it would be the bov, I had a faulty secondary on mine that got replaced and didn't have the CEL come on anymore when using the 2nd turbo. If you really keen try taking on the open road and taking up to say 6k. You should feel the the secondary. I would recommend checking the turbo first tho incase it is ceased. Wouldn't be to good for it if it was and your putting all that air into it

I've been looking at doing the same with my BE B4. As far as I can see with mine the front seats just have 4 bolts holding them down and a couple of wire clips for power / heat / what have you. As for the back ones I believe they just lift up apparently.

It has done about 208k km tho. A second hand one was gonna be 80 plus gst plus how ever much for a seal kit. Have to do the right one now *sigh*

I think it was around 40 and 40 for seals and then labor sounds like its about $120 plus gst. > I'm gonna have to sell the car once its done to be able to afford to pay for the repair argh lol
