IMHO turbo timers are a waste of money. How often do you drive your car HARD then instantly turn it off? Prob never. And turbos these days are much better than ones of old. If turbo cars required turbo timers, they would be fitted from the factory. Simple. Show me one factory turbo car that has one. Its big corporation stealing all your money! Hehe.

Honestly at the cost of 2 cars going most of the distance of NZ, its prob cheaper to meet each other half way! Thats fair enough, but if they loose you power then whats the point? I can sort of understand with 91, as it may help stop detonation, but you in theory shouldnt get much with 95/96. IMHO you should NEVER put anything under 95/96 in a Subaru anyways.

Makes it interesting for us that have race cars, and deciding on what to tune them on. Im sure 98 wont be phased out completly though, and proper race fuel is bloody expensive! Also Avgas is being discontinued for MSNZ events, so cant even use that!

Yeah I agree with Ray. 3 inch is too big for most cars. You will loose your down low power and torque. You need a massive turbo to flow lots of air to notice the benefits of a 3 inch system, and even then its more a top end power gain. Good performance exhaust builders will back this up.

IMHO 3 inch exhaust is too big for a road driven car, and in many cases too big for a club car. You need a SERIOUSLY big turbo flowing lots to even need it. And then your only going to notice an increase at the top end. You will also loose alot in the bottom end power and torque. Ask any good performance exhaust builders and they will say the same.

We did Pauls ones pretty easilly. They were not too bad to do.
