  1. adding air in the recording process is what give s a recording spacious sound and is a plug in that was ported from tapes to new age sound equipment to mimic this effect ever heard drop it like its hot by snoop dogg well the loud hissing noise is air amplified like 20 times

    I have the only 2 Stetsom 10kd's in the country. They're factory modded by Stetsom, they do about 12800wrms each @ 12v @ 1 ohm and a shade over 20kw each when fed 18v.

    Top that :P

    good for powering your nuclear battleship or just plain silly in everyday applications either way I like your style

    I was reminded of this recently when a good friend of mine was auditioning home hifi. He had one source, two sets of speakers, two amps and two sets of speaker cable. Changing one item at a time, we could both recognise a difference between them and could identify which one was which.

    It seems to me to be all about finding a combination that works well together.

    I'm sure the same applies in car audio but I'd argue that the installation is much more important in car audio as a car cabin is a terrible acoustic space to deal with!

    Home hifi is a whole different ball game you can make speakers sound totallt different jus by putting a 30kg weight on a speaker box but I agree to some extent about every component making a difference some what

    +1 yea nothing but stock sounds in the rex even the crap doubledin from kenwood that V7s come with but got my other car daisy bout to be ballin bg mazda familia autobot with 3 hubcaps lost one goin round the gorge rd

    I did my spark plugs last week, i must say what a pain in the ass it was getting to the passenger side rear one.

    Today i clearcoated the recently cleaned up strut brace and coolant reservoir, and started cleaning the radiator fans bracket thing so i could paint it, ran out of time because i had to leave for work.

    Just a quick hint for the spark plugs :) other than taking out the battery and washer bottle and the aorbox from the other side,I undo the engine mounts ( 2 nuts) and then jack up the engine a few inches makes a HUGE difference

    Yeah i removed the battery and washer bottle from the left side and the air filter from the right. Was still fiddley :D

    yea its sux doin that one I use the uni joint to do that one makes it easier
  6. Hands up if you think different brands of amps sound different? Can one brand lets say Infinity sound better than Alpine? Now with all the settings set flat no bass expanders no filters no nothing, could you tell the difference between the 2? can an amp sound sonically better than the next?

    +1 6*9s are good for starters but no place for em in staging good sound 6inch co axials in the back maybe or even 4s

    totally I run 60.2 cs infinitys had em for years and have been in 3 cars I have had, but need to get around puttin em in the bugeye.... Positions of subs can play a part in bass loading try facing the subs away from the cabin might help a bit but otherwise check your settings on the amp make sure they are in low pass if all else fails new amp I guess some do perform better than others

    yup thats what I thought to wasnt stock from memory but didnt have major work done either and yup nos was used ... On the flip side took a mates evo6 down the strip for him in OZ stock car done a 13.01 and I was raping the shit out of it good fun!!!
