XECUTA your not getting it thanks for the input but i cannot cut the bolt off because of 1 they wouldnt be able to get anything in close enough to do it and not damage the diff brace subframe or both and 2 he needs the subframe so a bolt stuck in it is no good thanks everyone else for the input bazza and boon they both sound like ideas worth giving a go can anybody who lives close by be able to have a look at it for me and see if they can get it off willing to pay for your time if you cn do it
  2. because he wants to use the subframe for his car and doesnt want to damage the subframe and i dnt want my brace damaged and the head of the bolt is surrounded by the diff brace so its hard to even get visegrips onto it that y i thought welding and getting some heat into it and build it up would work so you can get visegrips onto it and also the heat will get it out
  3. yes its a dark blue one with ablown motor im pretty sure thats the 1 you mean been on trademe for $1 wrecking any help would be greatly appreciated just be careful as apprently its pretty hard to get access to the head of the bolt im told maybe weld onto the end of it nice and hold should loosen her up thats all we do at work
  4. nah hes tried doing that and broke the drill he doesnt wana spend any $$$$ so it makes it kind of hard to get it
  5. i have purchased a few cusco parts from a guy on trademe from a bg5 i have got everything except for the rear diff brace as the bolt has been rounded off and he cant remove and doesnt want to damage anyone got a good way of getting this off without ruining the subframe or the diff brace? or if anybody has a bg bd rear subframe lying around so the guy can jst cut the diff brace out and send to me to remove bolt willing to pay for your time or if you have a subframe please txt or ring me 0278637756 if you can help as not near computer much at the moment

  10. yea I have one of those sorted now all i need is the wiring fpr the data plug as the loom we put in for the conversion was cut
  11. can anybody get a picture or a pinout of what this looks like its very easy to pop out from the panel under thh steering jst 2 push in clips frm behind need to know whatscoolours go to what pins the pins are number eg. pin 6 green with black stripe etc etc
  12. first off i have just converted my friends v7 wrx NA to turbo and manual and have these codes but am unfamiliar with the obdII cars I need some one to please if they have a v7 wrx to pull out the data connector plug (have 2 bits to push in on the inside behind plastic and it pops out it sits in the plastic directly under the steering wheel) can they please tell me the colours and the pins where each wire goes the back of the plaug is marked 1 and 8 and 9 and 16 thanks I have checked the codes using the 2 black connectors and tried to reset running up to around 40km with green and black but wouldnt reset not sure if codes are the same or not just wanted to ask as i dont have a select monitor or scanner yet codes were 4 long 2 short 42 10 long 6 short 106? 1 long 13 short 113? im thinking one of these is possibly the speedo as i does not work at the moment can anyone help

  14. i did my legacy on after i blew the lines free of old fluid and started again with a 500ml container it was 300ml for the brakes and about almost the rest of clutch and it did it easily be best to buy a 1L just in case
  15. im pretty sure the bilstein struts are called b4s? but that doesnt explain whyy non turbo is still called a b4

Heya, any done this before? i have done a couple of legacys by jst making up an adaptor loom from auto wiring harness to pick up sensor for reverse neutral and short together 11 and 12 pins for park so car starts what else? you dont need to remove the shift lock and auto ecu most of the time dya jst more of the fact it dont need it anymore?

Looking at getting a motor for v7 wrx to fit into a wrx NA is the compression ratio 9.0:1 on wrx and 8.0:1 on sti's? through this range of motors? are the cam/crank sensors and locations the same from all gc8 motors and v7 or did v7 get the newer type? Is the factory boost controller set up the same new as well ?
  19. yes have done this and no CEL also reset with black and green connected up to 40km and get the consistent flashing when ecu has been reset
  20. yea would it be worth trying to chnage the exhaust flapper? if the intercooler valve doesnt do anything
  21. yes it has 3 plugs we have tried a manual and an auto ecu and both do the same thing
  22. tell me about it hhaha dnt want to single turbo it he wants to sell it
