pre 96 - no worries as long as you dont cut any steel. after 96 - issues due to frontal impact laws regarless- cert req.

So after looking at the car its an ej25 quad cam...so does anyone have a motor that would make a suitable replacment on the cheap. Thanks

no, no and no, maybe they axle will join at the gearbox end but no the hub end

same answer to both questions (as they are mounted the same) to cut a long story short it can be done but its not cheap and requires some custom work. it would be a lot easier if you had a wrecked shell of a legacy/wrx to start with tho.

my mate has a blown up her Lancaster wagon, approx 1999 model, is there any other motor that will bolt straight in? (she was told by the wrecker that these are hard to find ...I lol'd just wondering it they trying to jack the price for her....) I.e will a 250t motor etc?
