  1. All cosmetic, no major structural damage. Engine and suspension is all fine and nothing missing. Need a drivers side front gaurd, headlight, bumper, bonnet and radiator.
  2. Yep pretty stupid move. It did have a 5 star alarm in it but the remote had gone flat and I had been too lazy to get it sorted before taking it out of lock up storage that day. Its back locked up and safe now. Lesson learnt, I wont be so lazy in the future and invest more in security.
  3. Waiting for Police to finish with the car so I can pick it up. Havent seen the car yet but hoping its just cosmetic damage. Sounds like its just frontal damage to panels, bonnet and intercooler. Will see once I get it back. Noticed fb accounts are live again, probably after car had been passed on. Likely the person who has ended up with the car will be prosecuted so hopefuly it all comes back to the people that stole it.
  4. Has been spotted by a couple of people, but no news that has lead to it coming back or a conviction
  5. They dissapeared last night. Also noticed this article which I didnt know about.. http://www.dailydot.com/news/car-thieves-new-zealand-facebook-taunting/
  6. Have been provided with information from certain people, but when followed up, has not lead to the car turning up.
  7. Wow thats cheap. The cheapest quote I got for 3rd party fire and theft was $1300. Full cover was only $1700. Had full cover for the last 2 years as I used the car a lot on the road. Only decided not to renew the policy when it expired in June, didnt think it was worth the cost when I planned to use the car only for racing. Knew it was still a risk but had the typical \'she\'ll be right\' attitude. Silly mistake.
  8. policy covers my race car? is a basic 3rd party style/fire theft or damage to and from an event or in my back yard all be it in a completely different league Considered this and decided against it as it was still really expensive and car spent most time in lock up. Needless to say I regret that stupid decision.
  9. Was seen in Taita Drive not long after being stolen. Likely to have been stripped by now
  10. It did attract attention, when i got to the car park a lady was on the phone reporting that a car had just smashed through the barrier. She didnt see who was in the car
  11. Car was seen in compton cres and taita drive saturday arvo. One contact from a forum had a wrx stolen found in taita on the river bank, another had a ute stolen from same wilson car park and found by avalon studios, not far from taita drive. Possibly a crew from that area doing jobs to order
  12. Yeh Greg was driving round this morning. They smashed through the barrier to get out. Camera footage being reviewed and passed on to police but im not too confident itl pick anything up. Cameras only on entrance/exit, would hav got car exiting at speed, only view through rear windscreen. Only chance is catching them coming in to the car park before they stole it
  13. Please keep an eye out for my sti spec c. Stolen Sat 24th Nov at 2.30pm from Wilson car park on waterfront under TSB arena. White 2003 Sti RA Spec C Black wheels Dark tints
  14. Think I got one bro, might be 215/40 tho, will have to check

    Intake Mods

I fit a Gimmick Motorsports silicone pipe that runs under the intake manifold, a 65mm stainless MAF pipe and pod filter. Would have used the factory box and drop in panel filter but needed a pod filter as the factory box didnt fit with FMIC piping. Trimmed the factory air diversion mould to feed directly onto the pod filter.

    Intake Mods

To get the best result out of any mod you do you will need your ECU reflashed to suit. If you can afford to get a reflash before and after then do that, at least it will give you a good idea of what gains you actualy made. I couldnt afford to do that so did the ECU reflash last, after exhaust and intake etc. Although I couldnt verify any actual power gains by comparing dyno runs, on the road I noticed a big difference and was glad I did the intake. At approx $300 its a pretty cheap mod
  17. Same result I got, held boost at top end, better top end power.
  18. Nice! Love that torque curve from 3-5000rpm!
  19. Yeh closer to the turbo is better, but its a lot bigger job getting a gate fitted close to the turbo will lack of room. Will still function well mounted off the headers. Bracket is a good idea, i had one made for mine after the welds cracked
  20. Agreed, dont get the up pipe from STA parts, needs modifying to fit. I think the 'easiest' option would be to mount it off the headers before the up pipe. Make sure whoever does it is a quality welder tho, if they do a shit job the welds will crack from the weight of the gate when driving over bumps etc and you'll have leaks.
  21. Mint site!! Has anyone ever brought from them? I almost did once, but they were very slack in getting back to me with answers to questions. Initially he was fine, replying within 24 hours (considering the time zones), but then just stopped altogether, so never went through with it. But yes, that site is pretty cheap and has A LOT of stuff. I got onto the link through one of your earlier posts Paul. Found the same, initial contact was good then more and more delayed. However once I decided what I wanted and asked for payment options they sent me a link where I could pay by credit card and parts arrived a week later. I'll be ordering more parts from them. In regards to the mods for your v8, a full TBE will make a huge difference, and I would recommend a full intake. I noticed a big difference with the intake on my v8. I did fuel pump also and FMIC, made 240kw with reflash. I suspect you could make similar power with the standard TMIC. You will notice a big difference over standard, only issue is how long that will keep you entertained for haha. The next step of engine mods from there depends on how thick your wallet is:-/
  22. + 1. If you wanted to do intake before the ECU reflash I would recommend the following. Cheap shipping. http://www.importimageracing.com/gimmick-motorsports-complete-intake-solution-2-for-02-07-wrx-sti.html
  23. Cool, realy just want a membership so I can race. Will fill out an application on line. Cheers guys
  24. I live in khandallah. Petone would be close. Where is HCCC based?
