  4. Got a measuring tape and measured the current bonnet dimensions and the Interior. Figured it would fit diagonally. But definately not to try on a 2 door gc8
  5. Haha. well my friends and what not always told me i should stop being stubborn. But i beg to differ. Here you go fellas. bonnet brought back in a gc8 To do this, remove passenger seat, center console, rear seats, passenger handle bars, and the small rear bar thats attached right in front of the boot when u take off the carpet that is between the boot and back seats Vision to all mirrors were available also
  6. Alright, as for picking up the bonnet in my gc8. I am gonna try fit it in the back of my car. I have taken out my center console, rear seats and front passenger seat just to pathetically try and fit the bonnet in the car. will report how it goes.
  7. Well this is just bad news for me lol ive only got my gc8 to pick up yhe bonnet. Hmm.. im in east auckland and the bonnets in north shore glenfield cant really drive there bonnetless
  8. Lucky this thread exists. Im wondering would a wrx bonnet fit inside a gc8? Ive bought a facelift bonnet and doing a pickup but wondering if I fiddle around the angles it would fit in the back of the car ?
  9. Its true! I do the study at mit right across em and see the brz stripped out to get caged. Looks hella cool

  11. Opened my boot today (gc8) to take out the space saver and found a massive pool in tje little ditch in the boot. Also found that there is water piled up on the right side of the boot where it has a bit of a ditch for some reason. Has anyone had a similar problem or idea where its leaking water from? Its not from the tail lights
  12. cheers, bit more expensive than your normal can from repco but seems it has a lot of good reviews. I\'ll try it out

    ECU bypassed?

thank you again ! took out the ecu and there it was, a brown resistor with solder on it. Cut it off and now feels its pushing out alot more boost. about the caramel wheel, I had my garage open while using it and half the time people walking pass stared at me weird as I was just sitting there sniffing it ;D

cheers i\'ll have a look for that. Out of topic but ur suggestion for caramel wheel, thumbs up! worked like magic haha
  18. Bought a wrx for my self and apparently the chipped ecu was bypassed was even dyno tuned for it, not sure why he would do that. I know it sounds very blunt but how would I go about to restore what it was before?
  19. Thx for the offer ! Sorted it out tho with a caramel wheel
  20. cheers, ill try paint thinner. I\'ve tried : petrol, cut n polish , swearing , diesel. Didn\'t work And yes i\'ve seen the caramel being used before to take out the monsoon tape residue and worked great, if they sell at mitre 10 or bunning i shall visit
  21. have a v-ltd wrx which has the big fat circle decal with the wrc winning year badge on the back and the wrx imprezza sticker. They wont ever come off nicely, tried using heat gun to heat them nice n hot and try peeling but it just rips little bits. As for the v-ltd wrc badge thing, I was able to pull it out but the sponge tape material is still stuck on, if that makes sense. Any ideas anyone? or has anyone had similar problem and fixed that?
  22. well thats very convenient , Would I be able to use the pfl bumper and fenders but just change the lights and bonnet and grille?
  23. hey guys another question , I believe ive seen it done somewhere before Do the facelift headlights, bonnet, bumper, grille all straight bolt on to the pre facelift model gc8 or is there some alternations u need to make to make them all fit? Trying to see if its worth the trouble or else ill just keep it pfl look
