  1. I have also forgot to mention, some of the pistons also has showed signs of some of the valves kissing the piston. Engine builder reason was it was due to valves getting to hot which deformed. I was told there was 4mm clearance piston to valve clearance at TDC. Could it be the case where the cheap valves have stretched ???
  2. Spark Plugs were fine, no signs of running lean. Yes, couldn't agree with you more on that one. I've got a few done, I don't want to disclose everything online for other reasons.
  3. Yeah that's the place where I would start too, but the person who overlooked the motor keeps on telling me high combustion chamber temps which resulted in burnt valves and seats. I find it so hard to believe to start off with, E85 is a much cooler fuel. Arghhh this whole situation is frustrating.
  4. It's just so weird, with E85 the combustion chamber will much cooler, so I find it so hard to believe it burnt due to the fact of high temps.
  5. Yup valves were cheap ones from STA. Burnt valves and seats, and bores are perfect and pistons.
  6. Isn't just odd if the valves fail before a piston ? Being Alloy if running lean it would have melted the piston or picked up on the side of the bore, which in my scenario I haven't. Don't think Glen Suckling is a potato tuner..
  7. How lean are we talking ? if it was running lean are we also going to be looking at piston to bore contact ?
  8. Just after some in depth information, Just wondering what causes a burnt valves and burnt valve seats, as well as what are the consequences of high combustion temperatures. ?
  9. Yup, EGT really important especially when running E85. I've heard for Subaru you have to tune individual cylinders while monitoring each cylinders egt if you really want to make some good power. I'm getting some egt bungs for my new manifold once I've sorted my car out.
  10. I think US tuners are much more knowledgeable compared to our tuners we have here.
  11. 11.7 at drag wars, will upload time slip when I get home.
  12. Hahahahahah, motor is out of the car again, changing to non avcs heads and going 282 cams. Also upgrading from the GT35 to a Precision 6266 and bumping to compression ratio up from 8:1 to a something a little higher.
  13. Yeah bro, I agree with you. I'm really into my top end power, I use to race other high powered cars with .82 and they just keep pulling top end. So i thought might as well go .89
  14. EJ207 at 17 psi on a GT3582R E85 Once all the miss firing issues are fixed it will be good to see what power it pushes on high boost, I'm hoping to run atleast 30 psi.
  15. Cylinder valves not sealing, happened to mine rough as idle and shakes heaps.
  16. Have my car finally tuned on E85 in two weeks time, just before Nats.
  17. Hi all, It's almost coming to Nationals and my pockets are becoming pretty empty. Just wondering if there is anyone out there who is using 16X8 TE37 which I could borrow for one day at the drags at 4NROTA. I would happily pay a lending fee if required or swap wheels just for the day. Cheers Minhaaj
  18. I had those headers on my car, the mesh in the up pipe collapsed. I would suggest you to get a sinco.
  19. I bought mine from scarles for $250, was a waste of mine it collapsed under boost.
  20. Return the fuel pump, get a Walbro. I personally think there's something up with the PUMP.
