  4. Would it not be easier to get the boost kit for the Power FC ??
  5. For anyone that was interested , I "think" that is was a seized piston or slides , pulled the calliper off and sprayed lots of brakeclean around , pumped the piston in and out a few times , bled the line and reassembled . Went on an 80km drive and all good.
  6. I run the sock on the intank walbro , then an inline filter out of the surge tank before the external , then the factory one in the engine bay. Probably overkill but I figure each one saves things if anything before it explodes.

  9. Its my mates car , Ill check it next weekend when Im there. Hes not driving it as only on learners. When I say it moved freely , I layed down beside it and listened as he slowly drive back and forth , no unusual noise. TBC
  10. Left rear wheel is getting so hot you cant touch it , Other 3 wheels are normal. I suspect either wheel bearing or seized caliper ?? wheel seems to rotate ok like its not screeching like the brakes are jammed on. Any ideas ? , oh and its on an 05 BL legacy.
  11. Slightly off topic but , I looked at a baffled sump when I did my rebuild , I discussed it with several people that build hi-performance engines and spent a lot of time researching different options and pro\'s / con\'s of various sumps. End conclusion , for the $$ spent on a baffled sump there was little to be gained over the stock sump and every potential of creating more risk of oil starvation. I ended up fitting a twin scroll sump kit which is a vast improvement over the single scroll item. Just my opinion from my own research. ;D
  12. For me it was a safety issue , getting surge out of the sweeper on full throttle is asking for something to go bang.
  13. Surge Tank FTW . I can run around ruapuna for several laps with the fuel light on and no issues
  14. Someone I know got a rebuild under warranty after running 20psi on a stock gtb , all the modded parts were swapped back to stock before lodging the claim.
  15. So turned out it was a 98 RS-B done 261ks , but its sold now. And 10 points to Lachlan , the clutch was very shuddery.
  16. Its manual , will find out tomorrow about the k\'s Its been a girls car and apparently rather tidy.
